Was running like a champ till the 86 link chain snapped in half. Gearing 22-41, chain had very little stretch based on how tight it fit with 22 gear.
Top gear bushing was "unnamed" modified bushing that is being sold. So it wasn't from a bad top gear/bushing. Bushing was still perfect. Chain...
My sidewinder is out of commission and getting the old Attak out. I am in need of MPI oil for the supercharger. Its very low but still reading on the dipstick. So I don't need much to be riding, but would buy what ever you might have. will buy a quart if someone has one also. TY ride this weekend
So my cross shaft broke and tore the tunnel about 1" at the bolt, both sides of the tunnel are bent. So one dealer says I should make a insurance claim, another dealer says most likely not covered on insurance but then says they did do a tunnel replacement on insurance claim last year? Both say...
I will be bginging my hurricane clutch alinement tool to the ride this weekend if anyone wants to check things out. Use it. Will not be suppling anything so bring your own shims or SAW. Lol. Have enclosed trailer if needed and I am around. Arriveing late Thursday- Sunday.
As to new deaveshafts. I asked about this in a another post with out much reply. I can get them. They are not cheep. 3 times as much as stock. Talked about adding a second bearing on the inside of tunnel also as a option. So you can picture this, take a brake caliper and use the bearing...
youtube rockerdan video # 5,6,7 and the O ring is from Stain who posted just before you.
Now on to a little more input about what to use to bond the race to the shaft. My uncle works on huge Caterpillar machinery for all his life over 40 years. Asked for his input while he was at my...
I think the race spinning would not be problem IF it didn’t touch the rotor. Therefor I will be milling down the rotor and installing harden shims 2 maybe 3 and the set screw will be into the rotor.
while working on a fix or the problem with the brake caliper side bearing and driveshaft we have determined the rotor is being ground down by the bearing race. Measured bearing race against a new and bearings are having little wear while the rotor is loosing over 2 mm in width. The rotor is...
As of 12-21-18 there was 1 factory yamaha (did not check arctic cat) driveshaft in stock in north america for the sidewinder. The note that comes up to order ones says :eek:n backorder till late january. Sorry but I didn't want to share this till I had mine in hand. There was 3 on this past...
The problem is not the bearing or the shaft. Its much worse. The drive shaft is not being installed square from side to side, this is why most outer part of the drive shaft is showing the most wear. Once it has wear, the chain comes loose. Some in under 1000 miles the shafts are already shot...
I can't thank you enough, I think your tool is the most important part of fixing the belt problem. As I ask you in a text message, was 1/2 mm close enough and you replied get it "exact" We did on 2 machines and it works.
