    Watch your rubbers!

New plug didn't arrive. Will be here Monday. Are the magnets already in the plug, or are they separate and need to put them in the plug?

    Watch your rubbers!

Just checked the old rubber plug. Hard like a hockey puck. New rubber magnet coming today, and will compare.

    Watch your rubbers!

This is what I will be doing going forward. I had Amsoil chaincase fluid in there. Took Knapps advice and ordered Polaris. Will check my 25 winder when I service it.

    Watch your rubbers!

Well, I went on my Quebec trip for 17 days. I parked my 2018 Sidewinder in the garage, and when I got back there was a small puddle of gear oil on the left side of the sled. I was like WTF? I unscrewed the check bolt on the chaincase cover and nothing. Tore it apart, inspected both covers...

    Thunder orange secondary

On our Quebec trip which just ended, my buddies 2024 SRX had a secondary spring break. Stock spring. Limped it to a dealer and had it fixed. Gonna carry a spare spring with me from now on. Trip was 2,640 miles total.

Garmin nuvi gps not charging USB cord

A charging cord and a power cord are different. A charging cord USB type is 5v, a power cord is 12v. To get it to run you will likely need a power cord.

    Chain case adjustment .

Here is my chain on my 18 when it had 2800 miles on it, new. EFI skate did not do this.

    Chain case adjustment .

I'm convinced the roller tensioner is hard on the chain. In my 2025, I changed the chaincase fluid at 300 miles, and put in the Precision EFI skate tensioner. First time trying it. Rode the sled for another 2500 miles, and there was no slack in the chain, it did not stretch at all, and was...

    Electrical issue

My 2018 has been flawless. The 22 has had issues, now with a going voltage regulator.

    Electrical issue

Ironically, I think I might have the same issue on my 22. Can someone guide me to where the voltage regulator is on a 22 with power steering? I looked last night, and it is not in the same place as the 19 SRX without PS.

    Electrical issue

A little follow up. It looks like the voltage regulator is bad. We unplugged the voltage regulator, and the sled ran fine. Thanks to Sideshow for pointing us in the right direction.

    Electrical issue

Asking for a friend. 2019 SRX. He tells me last night the sled started no problem. Put it on his truck and let it run for a few minutes, then it suddenly shuy off. Now, has no power to anything. It is not the kill switch he claims. Any ideas?

Newbie to Winders, just bought a '17

Don't be nervous about these sleds. They are VERY reliable if you do the upgrades as suggested. My buddy has 40k miles on his 17, I have 20k miles on my 18. No issues after doing the upgrades. I would also suggest BOP's roller over kit. I blew out my oil tank gasket and puked 3 quarts of...

    Replacing track tension collar 8DM-47479-00-00

That pic is wrong IMO. Solid axel should go in from left to right, and the nut on the right side of the sled. If the nut is on the left, it can freeze overnight, and when you take off in the am it can loosen the nut. Happened to me. Lost the nut and the wheel before I saw it.
