I am working on my first oil change. My skid plate has no bolts holding it on... It was only suspended by the two side panels. Do bolts or darts hold this thing in place? This is the stock skid plate i am talking about.

If it did not stall there is a leak somewhere. It could be donuts or a cracked pipe. I suggest you inspect further.
