Thanks for the advice. The sled is actually my father inlaws and he decided to take is to a yamaha dealer.

After removing my seat, fuel tank and clutches, i was able to find that the front heat exchanger was leaking from a weld. Has anyone replaced this before? If so do you have any advice on how to remove it, I would appreciate it, it looks like a big job.

Hmmm I seem to have the stalling on warm up issue also, to go with my overheating issue. I wonder if tight valves are my stalling issue? I haven't had a chance to look any further into the problems. I guess it will be a summer project. I have 1200miles on mine

Don't bring your sled into the dealer for anything, because they will do the flash. mine had the 15 flash and ran great,no kickback and started great, brought it in for warranty work and told them not to flash it, but could tell immediately when i tried to start it that they did! I was MAD!

I will check that hopefully tomorrow to make sure it is circulating.Since it overheated after i took the thermostat out, I suspect poor circulation for some reason!

I'll take a look tomorrow. I agree if the radiator is clear, it shouldn't overheat. A person I rode with last year, his fan quit working and as long as he was moving his sled did not overheat. No AFR gauge on my sled.

I just checked today and the fan kicked on a 195. The day it overheated I was leading and doing between 80-100 radiator wasn't blocked, but Mr sled mentioned the heat exchanger and I did not check to see if it was blocked, when we stopped.it cooled down and I was able to drive it back to the...

The fan did kick on when I stopped on the trail, but I will double check to see what temp it turns on

I'm going to look into everyone's suggestions, put in a new T-stat and am considering the evolution 2,5 flash and hope for the best! It's a 2014 and never had an overheating problem and I bought it new! I have rode it in all conditions including 40+ degrees, that is why this surprised me!

Mine the one that overheated got the latest flash the first week of march 2018, the other sled is a 2016 with the original flash.I told the dealer not to flash it but I believe they did. It seemed to start different than before I dropped it off, for what I thought would be warranty work covered...

Neither one had studs. Both have K&N intake and modified stock muffler. The one that overheated has pc5 and ignition module the one that didn't overheat has a pc fuel controller both programmed by Ulmer and have been on the sleds for several years.

I modified my own last year just by cutting off the chambers with the small holes and drilled extra holes on the inlet pipe. I was just wondering how the professionals did it for max horsepower! I have a D&D trail can that is nice, but wanted something a little quieter and not lose much horsepower!
