After removing my seat, fuel tank and clutches, i was able to find that the front heat exchanger was leaking from a weld. Has anyone replaced this before? If so do you have any advice on how to remove it, I would appreciate it, it looks like a big job.
I never did but have replaced tunnel. Exchanger is bigger job. Just start drilling rivets. Leave at least a day to remove and replace.

I think mine is leaking from the same place, and i was wondering if i have to take the engine out to replace the heat exchangerAfter removing my seat, fuel tank and clutches, i was able to find that the front heat exchanger was leaking from a weld. Its about a 8hr job first time. Comes out bottom. have to remove everything attached to it and everything in the way along with drill and reinstall rivets. New ones are about $650 never found a welder that would try fixing the cracked weld on left side.
