    Sidewinder Clutching experience

I've never ridden a stock winder, only tuned ones. As this post is over 5 years old, I've had a change of heart. In my constant struggle to consistently look for better/faster, I no longer use the stock black yellow secondary spring. I've since moved to the Dalton Black/Tan set at 3-3. I...

I used a small Allen wrench to push the pins out of the rollers. Works great.

    GAP Flasher Repair

Yes, popped it open and didn't see anything glaringly wrong, but passed a q-tip anyway in vulnerable areas. I know I need another one, but I just hate buying the same thing twice. Lol

    GAP Flasher Repair

Does anyone know where I can send get my GAP Flasher to get repaired? The harness is good and is transmitting power, but I can't get the flasher to connect to sled. Tried several sleds to no avail. When I connect it to the sled, I get the initial green blinks, but that is it. I used to get...

Debating buying a high mileage Sidewinder

The is no machine out there as reliable as the old Yamahas; Apex, Nytro, Vector. They were bulletproof and cheap to run. The sidewinder beats those old Yamahas in every category; Ride quality, handling, seating position, warmth, etc. The only place the sidewinder loses is in reliability...

    Merry Christmas

Southern Maine faired better, as we are only got 2-3 inches up north. Then the wind blew into all over. Supposed to get 5-10 inches Monday. That might put us in business.

    First ride of the season...

Well, we were looking at a great season, but it all went to pot. Yesterday was 51F with a 1/2 inch of rain and 55mph winds. Took the week off to ride and snow is all gone. Grrrrrrrrrr.......

    Miss when cruising

Sled should read .1 - .6 # of boost, key on, engine off. Anything outside of this parameter indicates bad sensor. Is FPR mounted on belt guard? If so, the jolt of a blown belt can ruin the gage and/or FPR.

    Miss when cruising

At 315hp you should be 45/46 lbs at idle depending on temperature. Above 30f 44# is fine.

    First ride of the season...

After a couple bad winters, I'm glad to hear you can get out and ride......finally! I too noticed the higher ride height on the 2020 and newer sleds, but although higher, I notice less inside ski lift than the older models and I find they handle better. (Please don't hate me! Lol). The...

    Ulmer Dyno

Last year, I converted my Thundercat to Yamaha clutches. Many have asked, "Why would you do such a foolish thing?". My answer, "Because I want to go fast.....and I need my left foot to earn a living!!" Thanks for the videos. Very educational and transparent.
