What I did and haven’t had the issue since….pulled my charge cooler and set it up to let it drain out over night( in a warm shop) and I got about a cup worth maybe of oil and water out of it , puddle on the floor was bigger then the cooler. Same time I also marked all the hoses for the sensors...
Looking for some help. I have a buddy who got a stage 1 precision tune today from a local dealer around winnipeg(I think he’s on here, if you see this and can give me some pointers would be great). He got home plugged the ecu in and went to start the sled and the dash says low octane and engine...
Ya I thought of that while I was giving it some love taps. If I can get it back out I will have to give it a shot
i thought it should be a somewhat of a loose fit with that sleeve and nut. I don’t want to take that nut off in case that sleeve expands and I can’t get it to start again
Old thread but does anyone have any tips to getting the jack shaft back into a new bearing on the chaincase side? I got it flush with the sleeve/ nut but I’m hitting the shaft harder then I’d like to while holding pressure on the bearing
having to reconnect would get tiresome after a bit but what’s the big deal about it using your phone gps? Ideally it would be nice if it could support its own map like the Polaris dose
I wish yamaha would get with the times and offer some more options. Or atleast put some r&d into something. I am a true blue fan but look at the options you get from Polaris and ski doo like luggage compartments, the odd shock option, colours, dash/gauge package. Look at the Polaris hand...
what I think fixed mine was I took the vacuum lines off of the sensors, marked them then tried to rout them so they could drain any moisture in the lines. Then took the sensors out and put them by the heat in a way I thought could drain any water out over night. Put it back together and has been...
Mine aren’t pushing the bushings out, it’s flat out eating the bushings In the rollers. Pins are smooth, everything seems fine other then maybe a bushing in the outer primary cover could be changed.
I found a mystery set in my yamaha parts shelf that I’m going to try. It they last I wish I...
I know it’s an old thread but. Has anyone found a fix for these rollers yet? I tried the ones with krylon bushings or what ever It’s called, And just checking the sled over and the rollers are toast with about 300 miles on them. Maybe I should be looking deeper at something?
anyone ever have the exhaust bellow crack on their mid pipe? I pulled my exhaust shield off to make some room and seen black all over the manifold cover and heat tape on my fuel tank. Bellow was cracked 3/4 way around and blowing between the 2 heat shields. Used a bellow off a stock muffler...
I’m not sure if it fixed mine or it was a coincidence. But I took all the lines off the sensors below the fuse box. Let them hang down over night(don’t forget where the go). Took the sensors out blew them out with my mouth and since I was that far I took the inter cooler out and set it so it...
That’s what I’m thinking. Guy said he changed engine oil so I’m trying to avoid pulling the chain case apart, how ever it dont appear that he changed chain case oil
Neighbour just picked up a used viper, and the reverse beeper and “R” on the speedo come on momentarily then go out while sled is in reverse. Has anyone ever have that sensor behind the actuator go bad?
Yup got it out. Had to fight for a few hrs before I got fed up, just for the hell of it I gave it a tap with a sledge hammer the opposite way it was bent. Seen the flange moved so I shoved a flat screwdriver between flange and motor gave it a wiggle 3 times and it all hit the floor. Bolt is...
was riding over the weekend and a buddy’s nytro died on him. I’ll try to load a picture but we’re trying to pull the stub shaft out of the motor and it’s not budging. We even tried using a chain jack pulling while tied to a truck on the other side and prying and tapping. No movement. Any...
Well spm you may be correct. Been getting fuel from a different source while I’m at the cabin and haven’t see a glow or flame in 800 miles. Although I did have some bulrushes wrapped around a ski that caught fire. Thankfully I seen the smoke and got it out
I rarely get to run mine wide open unless we find a smooth lake. But I’m getting it at 1/4-half throttle. And black staining on panels. Never seen a flame after a widopen throttle tho
