So after many years with pilot skis I have decided to pull out my old stock skis and go to an aggressive set of snow trackers which I bought from Travis at Barn of Parts. The directions say to reduce your ski pressure by 75% and to bring the strap out to the furthest hole.
Is this the set up...
Finished assembling the chain case while doing a track change and changed the oil at the same time. Went to start the sled and it turned over once then nothing. There was a click when turning the key but that was it and the code 43 error. Did some searches on here and found the reference to the...
The directions say to lift the rear of the sled, crack the screw in the rear heat exchanger and wait until there are no are no air bubbles. Do you have the sled running while the bolt is open?
Just received and installed a new snow flap plate from hibshman25. Strong as hell and good quality. Looks like it was cut on a waterjet or laser. Included rivets to mount both the plate and the flap.
Cracked Y -Pipes
Blown Donuts
Jig to mount replacement flanges
New flanges press fit on
Copper Donuts
Installed y-pipes
Tunnel protector rivets pulled out and opened the holes. Had to use washers. Also ran out of rivets so have them on order.
I'm trying to drop my skid but one of the bolts just spins. This is on the right side and it goes thru the bracket and upper wheel. Are these press fit threaded inserts or is it a thru shaft?
I see 2 possibilities. Drill out the rivets and drop the whole bracket or drill thru the skid into the...
My rear axle never tightens on my rails. I get the nut tight and torqued, but you can turn the entire axle with a socket. Is this right? I added the 4th wheel kit.
Thinking of changing skis next year. Currently run pilots, but they have no floatation. On HCS Vermont there is a thread about the SLP SLT skis. I was thinking Simmons. Any input from anybody? I don't plan on using the stock skis or ski trackers as of now.
Sled is 06 ER with float 2's on the...
When the rear axle is tightened, should it be dead tight on the frames? I can put a socket on the headed end and turn it after the nut is tightened. I can also see wear from the collars as though the axle had spun.
2006 Apex ER Mono Shock.
Spent the weekend getting the 06 Apex ER ready.
Changed the stator sensor.
New Speedo sensor.
Oil change.
Trapped the mice that built a nest under the seat on the fuel pump. They chewed up the plastic clamp that secures the fuel line.
Greased the mono shock frame.
Pulled off all the wheels...
Code 12 Saturday and fortunately I had stopped at an intersection that was at a shared road and also had 3G coverage. Wife came to the rescue, boy did that cost me!!!
Going to order an OEM replacement 8FP-81410-02-00 assy kit. $234 through Partzilla. Does this include the gasket for the cover...
Sent my stock front shocks to HyGear but they said they aren't worth rebuilding. Bought a set of Fox Float 2 (Fox Racing Shox Shock Absorber kit 850-12-201). Do I need to order the bushings in the micro fiche? Kit description says they are bolt in.
Micro Fiche shows:
