Are you Yamaha riders putting shims on the new type of skis. My old skis the rubbers stops were all wore and cracked with a shim. They lasted about 7000 miles they were bergstrom triples
Get the carbs cleaned by a pro. Had the same problem with mine. Never again will I go to a amateur Mech. Took it to Pats Yamaha in the UP carbs were dirty. Also the cam chain tensioner was slapping changed that. Runs as good as new now.
Just saw a 2007 go for 4000 on ebay. That is a good deal I have seen 07 that they are asking 6500 for them. Change lower bearing and donuts. These sleds will run a long time.
I have three vectors the carbed sleds were a real problem the carbs were coated in green stuff had sea foam in them. The sea foam is not as good as it use to be. Put shut off on them put kits in all off them. The FI engine was fine. Buy FI sled if possible.
I use excel wheels one problem is the inside wheels breaking from ice build up. I have a 2010 vector with 6800 miles. Always carry extra ones with you. I just checked my vector one of the slides is worn from the bad wheel.
This happened to me last year on my10 vector took out the hose guard lower front panel was down on the trail for a hour finally we bent the hose guard back to clear the new belt limped back to the hotel that deal cost me 300 dollars in parts. New belt is wearing just fine.
Yes I think it will. I see you bought the LTX from Kip . If you get a tall get one from power mad its thicker does not require the supports like the Yamaha shield does
I have 05 Rage and do not like the old Pro Action Suspension. I can buy a Mono suspension from a Attack has the Olin shock. Would this be a easy switch and bolt up?
put a new belt on it change belt every season. Mine exploded took out the lower fixed panel bottom hose guard had a 1 hour down time on the trail because of the guard.
