I ran oversized skidoo wheels on my rx and now I want to do the same on my 2010 vector ltx. Excels are just too expensive for me. Anyone know of a wheel out there than will accomplish the same as the xcell and save me some hyfax? Thanks

Polaris 135mm wheels with Doo mounts works great.
There is a good write up of this mod.

Or you can use Pioneer Perf. drop wheel kit with your stock wheels.

thanks.. so the doo wheels wont work with my stock mounts?

Metallicat, do you know what dimensions or how much to take off?

Why do all that work machining down the stock one bolt mounts ? Pioneer Perf. has a kit that uses stock wheels and lowers the wheels 2.5mm which is the same as using 135mm wheels plus they have an extra bolt on the mount to help carry the load and all for $100. About the same price as buying all new wheels with less work.

I use excel wheels one problem is the inside wheels breaking from ice build up. I have a 2010 vector with 6800 miles. Always carry extra ones with you. I just checked my vector one of the slides is worn from the bad wheel.

Put DuPont's on it and you wont need the wheels. I have 2000 + miles on them and they don't show any signs of wear.

I heard about possible clip wear though from these...

x2 its a great kit. you already have the new yamaha spoked wheels add the these mounts and good to go. 9000 km on my setup slides still like new.

Just got the pioneer kit and it doesn't have the washers shown on Bruce's website. Is this a photo error or packing error?

The kit they show on the website is for the Mono II.
Did not get any washers for the kit I got, Just extra bolts and nuts for the lower mounting holes.
