Bent spindles AGAIN! Has anyone came up with a fix?

I bent mine the first week of riding when my 03 was new, I modified some a-arms from a arctic cat 1M and bolted on AC spindles. they worked great, I used them for a couple of years before I found some used housings to replace mine. At haydays a couple off years ago, Micro Belmont had some...

Has anyone tipped up the rear of the slide rails?

I did it on mine, I have a 151 cat skid and a 159 track. It does seem to help on the hardpack, but I did it when I switched skids so I am not sure. I did it on a 159 cat that I had a couple of years ago, I cut the top of the rail (in the triangle cutout)and bent it in a press, and rewelded...

02 sensor which 1 to buy

Thanks for the link, I guess I missed that one. I am not sure there was an rock solid answer, but considering how the lead in 100LL can screw up the plugs in my airplane if it is rich too long, I think I will just buy some race fuel and go with it, I don't want to have another worthless...

02 sensor which 1 to buy

Does anybody know if you can run leaded fuel thru those sensors? I would like to run 100 LL if possible, probably mixed about 50-50. It is easier to get my hands on the av gas than the race fuel.

    Monster Garage Idea for RX-Mountain

We talked about this on snowest a couple of years ago, and got about the same replies. I was thinking more on the lines of the system the FAST used on the blade that they built with the S &S motor, it still had the clutches, just no chaincase. I think the system would work fine, the problem...

who installed the AC 151" skid from 1M?

151-159 I have a 151 skid in my rx with a 159. I had to move the front holes forward about 3/4" from the stock, and made a extra set of holes in the homemade rear drop brackets. You can make it work, but the 162 would be better!!!

Who the hell wants a 80 hp sled

The newer 500 sleds by yamaha, arctic cat ski-doo with exhaust valves are all in the 100-105 hp, not sure about polaris and doo, but cat has an 80 hp 500 it uses in the sabercat and M5. I don't think any F5 or XC500 riders are shaking in in there boots at the release of this machine. he sled...

    162 M7 skid for a 162 track?

Southfork, that is a stock A/C skid. I have a 03 151 skid in my rx with a 159 track, I have my front mount about 5/8" ahead of the stock mount. I think you could get the 162 to work fine, your front mount should end up about 4-5" ahead of stock. The 1m skid fits fine, I had to pull the...

    2 inch track fit

A 2" will fit in the 03 Mtn with 9 tooth drivers, so I think it will fit in the shorttrack.

Is there an update to the 03 RX jackshaft bearing?

Thanks for the help, I hadn't found the thread with the part numbers yet. Did anyone ever find a bearing with a lock collar to use instead of this setup? Seems like Yamaha is trying to reinvent the wheel for no good reason, this setup doesn't seem to last near as long as the simple setup used...

Is there an update to the 03 RX jackshaft bearing?

My sled has about 900 miles, and I can see where the collar is going to be a problem, that is why I was curious. I get nothing but blank stares from my dealer, does anybody knoe the part numbers of the new collar and parts that I need? Is it possible to change it to a bearing that doesn't...

Is there an update to the 03 RX jackshaft bearing?

The bearing I have has a wedge-lock type collar between the bearing and the shaft, and if the secondary isn't tight, that wedge comes loose. I thought there was a different bearing with a normal lock collar that replaced it. My dealer said the 03 and 04 were the same, I thought they were...

Is there an update to the 03 RX jackshaft bearing?

Just wondering, I thought someone was talking about it a while ago. Is there a bearing that doesn't require the secondary clutch to be tight? Anyone have the part number? Thanks, Lance

how much primary weight is everyone running?

I am running a paragon secondary and a light(30 lb) primary spring with 52 gram weights. I have only run it once, at 7 psi at 6-8000, and it seemed like it would be right on with a little more boost, it climbed well, but only had about 9600 rpm. I had an exhaust leak that I couldn't get fixed...

Track ratcheting with extroverts, I just can't figure it out

Yes, there is room for a 2" track with the 9 tooth drivers. It doesn't leave you many choices for gearing, usually 20-42 or 20-43, unless you like the smaller top gears.

Track ratcheting with extroverts, I just can't figure it out

I think it is something with the geometry of the stock skid, mine was terrible with the stock skid, worked great with a holz skid and 9 tooth drivers(not extro's), and now works great with a AC 1m skid and a turbo, now I installed 9 tooth extro's. Getting rid of the stock skid is a huge...
