Curve XS
I'm extremely happy with my new skis... Curve Industries def have something good going for them! BTW there customer sevice is great! Oh yeah, if ski's don't make you happy, then check out Hygear. Absolutely amazing! They know pretty much everything you want to know about your stock...
hondavfr4ever,
I was able to ride a 2011 HCR 153 last weekend and it was one of the most comfortable riding sleds I had ever been on. The telescoping handlebars Arctic Cat have are amazing.
How much weight does this add to the machine? It will be interesting after this riding season is over to hear if anyone had problems with this new system. Personally if it doesn't have any problems and doesn't add that much weight, it would probably be a huge benefit for the Nytro because of...
I can definately understand some of the frustration some people have with these loud exhausts. But like me, I'm from Iowa and we don't have any laws against these exhaust systems being to loud. Most people are fully aware of the risks there taking when they put these pipes on. Here's my...
talk to Hygear. They are absolutely amazing to talk to about shocks and they will definately point you in the right direction! I don't know how much you want to spend, but they are worth talking to. JMO...Best of luck.
X2...did this on my XTX as well. I now use a silicone lubricant on the ball joints and bushings. I did end up replacing all the bushings at the end of the first year. I would say spend the money on Ulmer's kit if your going to replace the bushings.
The 08's had a weak bulkhead and I think there was an update or something and I know other guys have added extra protection in this area to strenghen this piece. The 09 bulkheads were different from the 08's.
I would tear down the front end and see what's up. It's going to be extremely hard on your ball joints and bushings if you just leave it. Not to mention that shock if its rubbing and the ride quality is going to be poor aslo. The best thing to do is just get it fixed. Sorry, probably not...
It's pretty loud when you open it up. Went to Michigan 2 years ago. I was never stopped, but we went in late March. Was going to pull the silencer off, but decided it was more of a headache.
Ask snowmaaan, I sold him my sled XTX with triple rates and a dual rate and both rear shocks were revalved. I'm sure he good give you a good insight as to what he has them set to.
haha finally a guy that does his research before he buys a snowmobile. Thats good, most people don't look into this kind of stuff and then come into these forums bashing the brand because the sled doesn't perform exactly how they want it to. My hat goes off to you!
Same thing happened to me on my 09 XTX with only about 500 miles on the belt. The outside of the belt disinegrated, but lucky it pushed that aluminum piece behind the secondary so I didn't do any damage to the secondary. I had also hear that Yamaha maybe had a bad line of these belts go out...
It so easy, just call Allen, tell him how you ride, your weight, anything you've done to you sled and he will have the clutching set up almost perfect for you.
