There were only a few pieces left of mine after 3000 miles. Just changed them out last Saturday. I had a bad rattling sound coming from under seat. It obviously was the clamps rattling.

Its at a mid-range, steady, tight trail speed when I'm being easy on easing into the throttle. (tried to put into words best i could)

Just out of curiosity... I have an intake mod and have a mid-range "popping". Is that a real big issue? Or can that hurt the motor? I'm guessing it's a lean spot,correct? Will a controller clean that up? And does it (controller)add any hp with intake mod? Thx!

It won't rattle at all. I have it attached in (6) places. 1- sandwiched between the muffler mounting brackets in the back. 2- I added a small nut and bolt to the two wings and affixed them to the exisitng muffler shroud. ( did not have that done yet in pic). 3- there a (2) rivets in the either...

Here is my creation of a fix for the icing problem in the tunnel. I tried to achieve keeping the snow from the muffler, but yet keeping some cooling for the muffler at the same time. Whats you thoughts?

. What RPM was the popping occuring? Not sure if that is what I'm hearing also. And was it under a load when it occurred or when you were in and out of the throttle at a steady pace?

Been down this road before. You will be throwing way to much money at the suspension. Go out and purchase a set of Woody's "Slim Jim" carbides. That's what I did and I had to then lighten up the front end because it had to MUCH "stick". That's is no BS. Trust me.

Just clutched my xtx and love it! (Ulmer) Now I'm cosidering studding it. Anyone have some realtime results on speed loss. I'm kinda liking the 109 on the dream meter. Any input appreciated.

Why and where is all the moisture coming from to create all this ice? Is the warm air in the tunnel creating this? Or is the exhaust making the tunnel itself warm?
