Been seeing a lot of polished tunnel posts lately so, thought I would post how mine came out by using Mothers Mini ball and Mothers Aluminum Polish. It could be better but I don't have the time to wet sand and polish. It looks good enough for me and was much easier this year. Last year was the first time I did it.
Whole thing took about 2 hours. Maybe some day I will have the energy/time to make it look like a mirror but, this is good for now.

- Looks good Zeke!
- How did the ball fair on the running boards?
- Did it chew up the foam?

Nice job!
Im gonna polish mine too once i get the sled back together in one piece. Hopefully it wont take that much time since i polished it last winter.

Yup, thats the stuff. Get the bigger one, the ball fits right in it.
Also, forgot to mention, on the boards I used Mothers Cone polisher. Same material as the ball but a cone. Worked ok but, some spots on the boards required manual polishing in a few spots.

After polishing, did you seal the surface with something...?
Or, does the Mag & Aluminum Polish itself protect good enough...?

I did my 12 Apex with White Diamond polish and a Minnie ball after wet sanding with 2000 grit. Turned out nice!

Nope, just the mothers billet and ALL by hand...I found using tools, balls or cones, leaves swirl marks...just patients and some good ol' elbow grease will give you a mirror like shine.

Re: Mothers Billet
I am little bit confused with all of the Mothers products and the differences between them. For instance, what is the difference between the "Billet" and the "Mag & Alu Polish"...? And how are they different compared to the "Power Metal"...?
Always difficult to judge from pictures, but that tunnel looks like the best wet sanded ones I have ever seen...!Way2fast said:this works good...
