I have an 08 RTX 40th Anniversary Edition Nytro. I think it is one of the coolest looking sleds ever. I have read about a lot of changes that can be made to make the Nytro ride and handle better. I personally don't like to mess with my sled. I bought it to ride. Winters are too short to be...
Getting faster!
I bought my 40th Anniversary Nytro Feb. 1st of 2009. Last season I could only get 98mph out of it. I now have 2800 miles on it and I had 108mph. This is all on the speedo. I plan on putting at least 200 on this week. Hopefully I can squeek a few more mph's out of her.
I am hoping that if it is to stiff, I can soften up the rear spring setting and put it on the lowest setting. I currently have it on Medium. I just really want to be able to turn while riding aggressively.
I found a set off an 02' polaris. They went on easily. They close the gap about 1/4" to 1/2". I am going to try it out on Monday in Douglas and Bayfield Counties. I hope it is better. ;)!
Thank you so much for the responses. If I do try the ones from a Polaris Fusion, do they fit without modification? Also, if I try Ski Doo ones, do I need a certain one?
I ride alone a couple times every year. When it comes to snowmobiling, you have to ride when you have a chance. If your buddies don't have the same days off etc. If you have a cell phone, there should be no worries. Plus you have a Nytro.
Has anyone used suspension blocks on the Nytro? Hauck Powersports has them on thier website and I called and spoke with a service advisor. He claimed that the blocks go on the rails in place of the stock ones. They are thicker and don't allow the full amout of weight transfer during acceleration...
I have a 2008 40th Anniversary Nytro RTX. I have read on some of the discussions about turning the rubber blocks around on the skis and shimming them with 1/8 or 1/4 shims. Where do you get these shims or are people making thier own? What excactly does it do?
Just got back from 2 days in the UP. We rode from Ironwood to Bergland, Rockland, Twin Lakes the first day and from Twin Lakes to Houghton/Hancock, Pheonix and back to Ironwood the second day. Here are a few pics.
The UP is so blessed to get all that snow. We are planning on coming up there on Monday, 12-14-09. I hope the lakes and swamps freeze over. We usually stay around Lake Gogebic or Twin Lakes. I have not been to Lake of the Clouds in a couple years. We will try to go there this year. Anyone who...
I grew up on Arctic Cat and always loved them. Last winter I rode a friends Nytro and loved the power. The styling was awesome. Yamaha had 2 rebates on the 08 40th Anniversary Edition and I traded in my Firecat and am very happy I did. Electric start and reverse are sweet. It is nice not to...
