Wanted to take a minute to post a couple dealerships that have gone above and beyond the "others". I'll keep it 100% positive by focusing on the great dealers like Pat's in Greenland, MI (U.P.)
We're here riding in the U.P. for the week and today, our first day, my Apex kept shutting off and...
Guys, it does happen! i ride hard but smart, like a lot of you, im sure. I broke my bulkhead without even realizing it a few weeks ago! Must have hit something under the snow. I contacted Hibshman25 about his products. He was very helpful and sent me a kit. The construction is top notch. Easy...
I know we're all just taking a stab at it so...from all the info we know at this point, I realy think it will be that horizontal tilting chassis that Yamaha has patented. It will have an updated Nytro type engine (NA), no turbo. Nothing to do with Cat at all (for this new sled). Can't wait to...
I rode for the first time in the U.P. last month. We visited Pats and he told us the same thing, "keys are in them, try them out". We parked our rig in his lot a couple times also. Great people!
Thanks so much for all the responses. Just another reason why this site and it's users are so awesome! We are planning to leave next tuesday 21st. If anyone could give a final update some time this weekend i would be very greatful. BETHEVIPER, thanks a ton for your help! I'll PM you for sure.
been running triple points with savers and shims on pilot 5.7 skis for two seasons now. Love the setup. wasn't sure if it was worth the money UNTILL this season came around. The conditions have been horrible all year. we have been riding on very, very thin snow and i can report that my...
Our small group is trying to plan a trip to either the U.P. or Maine for next week. We would like to go where ever the conditions are better. Never been to either place so just hoping for any advise. Thanks
:rocks:
I shimmed my 5.7's from day one so I'm not sure how they would handle with out shims, but what a great setup with the shims. very happy with mine....except in deep powder, which we almost never have here in PA anyway. :o|
I'm sure it's a little disappointing to hear all our negative responses, but its mostly all good advice. If the track is locked up, who knows what else has been damaged. Try to take some one with you that has owned and worked on an apex. They are great sleds, but maintenance is very important...
Sorry for hyjacking this thread but. . . My question is how do I know if the electronic adjustment is working on my shock? It's hard to tell by the feel of the ride. The icon does come up on my gauge pod. Thanks
:rocks:
I have two inner idler wheels to replace on my 2005 vector. I assume I need to drop the rear skid. What will I need to replace when removing and re installing the rear suspension? Bushings, ect. . .
:rocks:
I see. Well I have heard others complain about the 5.7 pilots for use in deep snow. I ride in PA so we rarely get deep powder snow. There is another model of pilot ski that is better suited for deeper snow but I'm not sure which one it is.
From what I've always thought, the front of your ski should be higher than the back when the front of your sled is lifted into the air. Without shimming the backs, my skis sat level and my sled darted all over the trail. Now that I installed the shims under the back of the rubber bumpers the...
