First my warranty is up. But has anyone had any luck with Yamaha coming good on parts or labour for this issue? Cover is broken and not sure what else yet. Definitely the jackshaft bearing is done as my secondary has movement on it. Waiting till tomorrow (Monday) to call the dealer and see...
So I changed belts from the 8dn to the 8Jp and it did run higher on the primary. Now at a 1/4''. Happy with that but not happy with the belt dust. Has anyone had any luck with an aftermarket belt with no belt dust
Sorry I knew I wouldn't ride all the way to the top. I was just wondering why it was like this. Didn't have this problem with my nytro so just curious.
I put a line with a marker on primary clutch and there is still 1/2'' of marker showing at the top. What does this mean and how can I get the belt to come to the top of the primary?
I just did the air box mod yesterday. I noticed all the white dicolouration of the divider and mine has a slight crack in it as well. What should I do? Remove the divider totally or leave it.
I did revalve my rear shocks and run my track pretty loose. I am studded down the middle. I did just loosen the chain. I went finger tight and back 1 1/2 turns. I didn't have time to go out today but maybe tomorrow
There is so many opinions and info on here it gets confusing. So here's the deal. Ltx se has 2800 Kms on it. Has a mbrp trail can. Wot rpms are 8800-9000. But speed is only 140kph or 85 mph.
Same day did several runs on rail bed.
What to do.
I run a set of zero-b waterproof saddle bags from royal distributing. Great price and worked well for me last year. I also added a skinz tunnel pack but that wasn't till the end of the year
2016 after that apparently you will see a Japanese body and other changes. If Yamaha makes changes to the viper before 2016 they have to share them with AC. Take this info as a grain of salt, Just what a sales rep told me at the 2015 snow show
I will see what I can do. I haven't got any yet. They are supposed to send me some sound clips soon. They have had them on a dyno and 8hp gain and 5 lbs weight savings on trail and 10 hp gain and 8 lbs saving on race can.
db readings are 83.5 and 85.3 @4000 rpm
