It seems that yahama does have this sled set up on the heavy side with a couple adjustment made out side the box it makes a huge difference not saying that you dont need to revalve the shocks or you dont need to get different rear springs but is does help I am 44 of age 20 at heart...
I put 6 doolys up front 144 studs removed rear blocks and rear spring adjusting blocks and i can say this sled rides and handles better than my 2012 800 xp and my apex yes it is not as fast on top end but real trail riding i will take the viper hands down put on 150 miles with a group...

And a 2011 rush yes i did work at a dealer poo cat yahama so got to ride them all .Been mostly doo but tried of doing the 2 stroke tang go want to ride not rebuild motors i do that all day .And I ride alot 5000 miles a year tried of typing .NEED TO RIDE

After coming off a 2010 800r x with ajustable shocks this ride is much better nicer and a 2006 apex 2008 nytro 2010 f8 and a 2005 rev the 2005 rev was the best all in all this sled is darn good for me first sled i didnt have to buy bigger springs 280 dressed
136 or 144
a 136 or 144 its a 2006 xtx with 300 miles on it found cheap and had to have it was going to buy new but for this price I will never lose money on this one .This is the oldest sled i have had sence 2006 and have to say i like it. have 900 on it now
did a rader run today what a disappoment having coming from 800r doos and thiinking this apex has more power on the trails and top end but these things are not set up to run theses got spanked all day any thoughts been doing rader runs for 15 years so not my first go around I like the sled I...
aft er a good try and a lot of time and some coin i traded in the nytro for a f8 i just couldnot steer this sled with a bad shoulder after a long day riding i was just shot . dont get me wrong love the power the ride but was way to hard to corner did a lot of things to improve new skis revalved...
I'm new to nytros...have a rtx 121 stretched to a 144...riding in powder the other night the temp light went on stopped to cool off light on again and again and again and so on got home and googled over heat on nytro and found a commen problem so decided to make my own tunnel cooler made out...
