    Making my Phazer handle better

The first thing you need to remember about the Phazer is that it is't like most sleds....you can't just sit on it and turn the handlebars...errr, most times anyway. When going down a straight stretch, you should be able to get away with doing that, but in corners, you have to lean and push...

    Can I get your opinion

That goes without saying..... I don't usually hold 60 for extended periods of time. If one does.....yes, they should maybe consider a bigger sled. I'm not saying the phazer is the "best" all around sled.....it's just a "great" sled to have the option to ride.

    Can I get your opinion

I have a 2009 600 etec and a 2009 Phazer. Every time I ride the etec for a day, I am sore as heck in the legs and arms the next day or two. When I ride the Phazer for the same amount of time and riding style.....I am not sore at all! Something nice about the Phazer rider position, way better...

    Chain Case Oil Change

Just sitting here thinking about maintenance to do shortly on the 2009 RTX and thought about changing the chain case oil. I have never done it on this sled and was wondering if it was as it seems? Do I just take out the drain bolt located on the front bottom of the case and let the oil drain...

    Woody's Doolly's?

Sorry, haven't changed by info lately.....took the slydogs with 6" carbides off...didn't like how hard the sled was to turn on hard pack trails. Went back to stock skis with duallies on them.....this combo works really well for me. I don't have any darting, even on deacceleration and it steers a...

new to the forum, asking for input

I have had an 09 rtx for several years and then last year, I bought an 09 ski doo tnt 600 etec to add to the fleet. I have to say, I like the quick burst of speed from the tnt, but I prefer to drive the phazer most of the time. For the first couple of years that I had the phazer....I wondered...

    phazer ride height adjustment

Sit forward into the crock of the seat near the gas tank when riding aggressively. Lean forward and to the side in the direction you want to go, put downward pressure on the footwell of the direction you are turning. slide your rear off the seat in that direction if needed on tight tight...

    replacement carbides

I would stay with the stock skis and the duallies......I am currently running that setup with a 1.5" freeride track and love it! I tried slydog skis with shaper bars, but didn't like it at all! My two cents.

I thought I had heard that Dane County trails were beat to death?

    2011 Phazer handling issues

I hate to say this....but the Phazer is not a good sled to put inexperienced riders on. It requires, as others have said, a lot of body english and rider "interaction". After a couple of years on one, I am just finally getting better at controlling it without ending up all over the trail. It's...

    Fox Float Pressure on RTX

How much front Fox Float shocks air pressure is everyone using? I realize that it will vary, but on the average, how many pounds of pressure do you normally run? I have tried lots of different amounts, seem to have 60lbs in most of the time. If I try to use less.....it sits really low in the...

    hard steering

That may be the case! I will have to check that, I guess. Taking it out tomorrow on the trails to see how much it changed by loosing the strap on hole. Hopefully it is better and not back to pushing in the corners. Thanks for the tip.....anyone else with this problem or ideas?

    Northern Wisconsin Trip

Well, I made it to Park Falls, WI yesterday and put on 120 miles today on the trails. 75% of them we in good condition and 25% were moguls....a good day over all. Just glad to be riding. My arms are sore! One more full day of riding and then I have to head back home 5 hours away to where the...

    hard steering

Over the summer, I installed the loose steering fix in the front end and also installed the oft steering block fix. Now, with the first ride of the trails this year, I notice that the steering is really stiff. I mean border line dangerous......How can I reduce this hard steering without giving...

    Northern Wisconsin Trip

They claim 6-7" and they had a 2-6" base. North and East of there got even more and had better conditions than PF did before that last snow. Plenty of snow up there in that area now. I picked PF so that I could ride north and east from where I figure the good snow is starting and maybe avoid...
