Since I owned my sled, I've run woodys duallies, I've been riding the past couple of hundred miles with pretty worn down runners without much impact on trails , but crap steering on roads, obviously
Anyhow, seeing as I only know how the duallies handle, I figured I'd ask about other peoples thoughts on runners for the stock yamaha ski.
If I recall my first few miles with stock runners were darty, and thats why my dealer switched me to duallies.
I'd say I'm a fairly aggressive rider , maybe porkchop can see if he agree's with that distinction
And I've seen it written that :
"I think if you are an agressive trail rider that likes to take fast corners and fell in control, then single runners are the way to go, if you do a lot of touring at moderate to slow speeds, duals are good for you. "
I'd say I certainly fit in the first category better than the second.
So, what do you think? What runner should I put on, or on a seperate thought... should I take this time to upgrade to tuner ski's.

I found the Studboys to be really durable carbides - a good value for the price. Oh yes and they work well as well.

I am awaiting my Bergstrom kit. 6" runners, ski-savers, and shims. Last time out my front end was REALLY darting. Am very eager to get them installed and try'em out.

I think you ride like you got a vagina
Seriously,
Moderately aggressive- you do pretty good without braking much
Maybe try the Studboy Shapers- Nick, (my cousin that owns Curve) says a 4" carbide is fine for the Phazer, that's all Mike runs on his 600 Polaris IQ and it handles.
The Studboy 6" shapers on my Curves have been on there forever (maybe part of my darting problem- gotta look and see), they are durable though and have an aggressive bite.
If the duallies have been working for you and your content with the feel- got 4,000 on it correct? Stay with what you like....
1900 miles ran on that set I think you said (take into consideration the bare roads we run down/ rocks and crap on low snow the past 2 years), not that bad for mileage.
Tuners @ $300 vs $100 on carbides for possibly the same thing??? Your stock skis work fine to me.
Looking around on ebay..........Holy cow the price of any carbides has gone up a ton- what happened to the $10/ inch ratio!!!!

I would stay with the stock skis and the duallies......I am currently running that setup with a 1.5" freeride track and love it! I tried slydog skis with shaper bars, but didn't like it at all!
My two cents.

I have 4" Double Down runners on the Phazer. I've also run Woody's Dooly's. The Double Downs last longer when riding roads and poor conditions in my experience. The Dooly's work better when they are new, but tend to dull quickly and lose carbides.

I would recommend Studboy Shaper Bars. They work great with stock skis. If you are concerned with darting you can shim the stock skis and also check you toe/out setting. I find running more toe/out than less helps cure darting. G.B.
