2014 ltx. Done nothing more than 8dn, mbrp trail can. 93 every day.
Was surprised how well the sled took to trail can. It isn't any faster but runs well with it. Just bolted it on.
Sounds nice too. Has a little something but not enough to get a ticket.
I had a nytro and would never go back. It was fast enough and gave me zero trouble in the 3 seasons I had it. Despite this, it was cold, rode very rough ( even after a custom revalve) and steered very hard. Too much weight on the front I think.
It was a fun sled to ride hard for short...
I did nothing more than put on a set of dually carbides, removed the transfer blocks, messed with the front limiter strap a bit, bolted on an msrp trail can and shimmed the secondary. This plan didn't cost me much and hasn't been much trouble. I also run battery tender all the time.
This sled...
Installed most of this last night. Not sure if I extended the groove enough. I cut it just enough that the spring would mount into the existing hole plus maybe 1/8" or so. Used a drill bit and a file. Took out maybe a 1/2" or a little more. It fits.
It also appears I need to relocate the black...
I recently purchased an Aluma brand 7712H open trailer with the front shield. Bought it primarily to haul my RZR around. I had intended at a later time to upgrade to an enclosed of similar size but economics is not going to allow that at least for this winter.
Anyways, for those not familiar...
Started up my sled today. Noticed crap flying around. Assumed a critter nest. Found what's left of an 8DN belt with the top layer threaded.
Was a new belt when I put it on but purchased back in 09. ( My spare for my nytro.) This belt has maybe 10 miles on it.
Thinking just an old belt that...
Thank you. Still not clear to me whats involved but I ordered the parts. Probably figure it when I see it. Nice guys up at PartsPak if you have ever used them before. $118.30 and a little bit of shipping.
Installed the kimpex seat yesterday. Set aside a couple hours. Install is straightforward but you do need to pay some attention as you can screw up. Particularly with the hole drilling.
I do like it as I think your passenger will. Installs / removes in 30 seconds.
Right after I bought my sled I took out the scissor stop blocks. Now setting my ride up for two up and thinking I should put them back in. Bummer is I cant find them.
Can someone easily google a part number for me? Or better yet....if you have no need for yours...I know someone that would take...
I just recieved my kimpex outfit yesterday. Will install it sometime over the weekend. It all looks good on the workbench.
I'll post up after I install it.
I also have the stainless mbrp trail can. It's loud enough that you know something is different but I don't think you would ever get a ticket for it.
I like the extra room for chain case adjustment and supposedly it gains me back the couple hundred r's I lost after doing the 8dn belt change.
I emailed Kimpex and asked about part numbers:
