There are problems with all the big 4. You have darting and slidder problems, mine is after 5000 mi, they blow up. Trade ya problems. :-)

Someone, in a different forum, posted "People are hating the power steering" I'm just trying to get a feeling for how much this feature is disliked or liked.
There aren't any demo rides coming to anywhere near me.
Cheers,
Chris
Hi,
Been gone now for 3 years now. Riding a 2009 MXZ Adr. Soon, it's time for it to blow up.
I’m very interested in opinions on the power steering aspect of the new Apex’s. I've gone quite far back in pages and can't find the thread that talks about it in depth.
Can some of you...
Hi Big Blue,
Yes. I too had the fat boy spring installed. While i believe it helped some, it certainly is not as good as the suspension I 'm on now. I didn't have the shock revalved, maybe that would have made a big change. Not sure. Can't wait for the snow to fall so I can hear from...
Thanks for all the info. With only 2 seasons on my current sled, I think I will wait one more year to come back. I'm sure there will be discussions on here about the new suspension and I will watch and wait. At $15,500 + tax, I want to be sure I'm making the right decision.
Cheers,
Chris
In 2005, the RX1 had the mono shock with the adjuster on the side of the tunnel. I had troubles with the A-arm and rails but the upgrades were covered under warranty.
Did the rear suspension change any from the 2008 to 2010 Apex GT?
I see there is a post on changing the valves on the...
I've been away from Yamaha for some time now. Last Yamaha I had was a 2005 RX1ER. I got tired of the bumps on the sled, and switched to a 2009 MXZ. (Don't be too mad at me. :) ) There's lots of things I miss about the RX1, but the bumps isn't one of them. I notice that the 2010 SE has an air...
I called Yamaha Canada @416-498-1911 and they told me to go to Transport Canada's webpage and I could find them there. After going there alls I could find was listings for their bikes. Does any one have the Recall notice for 2007 RTX that wouldn't mind faxing it to me?
Cheers,
Chris
Thanks for your help Turk. I know it has been beaten to death.
I'll ask my question in a new manner.
Does anyone know the number to phone Yamaha Canada to have a recal letter fax to them?
Cheers,
Chris
Quick question.
Is it any different importing a used sled into Canada than a new one. Do I need to get this recall paper work from Yamaha Canada? If I do, can someone post the phone number for where I should call. Looking at one tonight.
Cheers,
Chris
Hi All,
When I come to a stop on the trail, sled idles at 3800 rpms for about 15 seconds before it slow it's idle down to 1200. At this rpm, it seems like it is working hard to keep running.
Also for the first time ever, when I first started up the sled and after the orange light stops...
Thanks guys. You've been a great help.
On the trail I don't care about performace. I can keep up with the best with a smaller sled.
Important thing to me is not out of the hole because I don't care if I loose here, as long as by the end of the lake I'm ahead.
So I should go back to...
Opps. Should have read another hour before I posted these questions. Turk already said in a later post that the Apex GT does not, and will not, work better with the white spring and primary kept stock.
