Bye for Now. Sold the Vector

isn't too much trouble. Thats funny. My riding group said they would not let me buy a cat again after getting pulled of the mountain many times. I am bound to have problems with it, hopefully not too much!

Bye for Now. Sold the Vector

Not that I had alot to offer on this forum, but I did learn alot. My sled ran great and I had no problems with it. I just wanted something lighter and more powerfull. Was looking at the rx but people here wanted to much $$ for them. I picked up a lightly used M7 with vfroce reeds a can, and a...

    ATACC on RX1 Install help????

Why would you want an attack on a 4stk? I run mine at 3000 ft up to must be close to 7000 ft at the top of allen, and my sled runs like a top. 4stks are not as picky as 2stks for jetting and acutually make a bit more hp when they run a little rich. I would not mess around with it if I were you.

Wildchild rider forward steering post kit

At the dealer in town they had a RS and an apex sideby side. I lined up the front ski spindles and did some comparisions. The foot wells are in the exact same place. the only difference is that the handle bars are mounted futhur forward and more vertical on the apex. It looks like this mod would...

    more ski lift???

Lossen limiter strap, and rear spring tension will work. Would they have added coupler blocks when you put the new track on? The coupler blocks act lick a swaybar for the rear skid and couple the rearspring to the front. Most mountain sleds do not have them, but trail sleds do.

Best Sway Bar Setup With Holz 41" Front End for Deep Po

If you have them all, you have to try them all and let use know what you like!. I like having the sway bar in for good trail handling. The only disadvantage of having it in is that when I tip the sled on its side, it is difficult to get it up to a certin point and then it just falls over. With...

Hyfax wear on 05 mtn vectors & RX1 mtn (PROBLEM)

I have 1500km on mine. They are little thin behind the front wheel but they have not got any worse for 800 km. I do not have any ice scratchers, and everything is stock. I did get them very hot last spring. I was riding up at Alan, first sled of the day, very icy. I started to smell petex...

    2005 Rage Idle

Yamaha1, have you adjusted the idle screw at all? It is the big screw with a philips head on the right?? side of the carbs. You can turn it with your fingers. My sled acted the same way yours did. If you turn this in half a turn it should work better. I would play with the idle screw a bit...

    Changing seat Hight

I have an 05 mountian vector. After siting on the 06, you can really notice the extra seat hight. The seat is flat and taller than the 05. When I got the 05 the first thing I noticed is that there is a pocket right at the front of the seat. I thought this was a great idea. When I started...

    Quick Fix????

Did you have the carb heat on or off? This may provide enough heat that if you let it idle for a bit it would clean up. I just spent two days on the RS with only the handle bars out of the snow and the hood completly covered and did not have any problems. I had the heat to the carbs off and...

Spent The Day On An RMK 900 166

I saw two RMK 900 on the hook this week end. I was smilling passing them on the trail down. You have to love the piano. Thats what my riding group calls my sled. If I had a dollar for every time I heard, Do you think the piano will make it up there? I like the new RMK chassie as well. One of...

Vectors - do they climb and go through powder?

I would only play with the gearing if you are having problems with belt life. ie the belt is getting hot because the clutch is not engaging enough. I had the dream meter reading 145 km/hr on the trail down from by BlueRiver. I think gearing is spot on for stock. I have gone with lighter clutch...

Vectors - do they climb and go through powder?

I put 300 km on my Vector this weekend in Valemount. The snow was deep, coming over the windshield most of the time, never missed a beat. Climbing, it will high mark my bothers 600mm but not much else. This sled is a case study in compromise, It is bar none the best mountain sled on the trail...

    vector clutching spec

I just have 1 10.3 in the tip off each of my weights. I can not pull full RPM at 8000 ft but it is great at 5000 to 6000. IMO it really wakes the sled up.
