I pulled the trigger on the last day to get a '25 XTX LE w/EPS. I really wanted the power steering and was super happy to see Yamaha add it for '25. I figured I will give it a try and see how I like it as it looks like it is going to be a really fun sled. I'll still keep my '23 LTX LE w/EPS...
Well, I had bought my new TAPP with button spider for my '23 LTX LE at the end of last season and put it on for just one short ride. To be honest, in the offseason I saw a new shiny object that was released, so I wanted to do some type of upgrade to my sled and bought the roller spider...
I only got about 300 miles on the Roller Spider, and so far I liked it. Can I tell much of a difference from the button spider? Well, not really sure as I put the Roller Spider on at the beginning of the season so I didn't get to do a back to back test to get a feel for any differences between...
No heat to get the cover off. The heat I had to use was to get the spider off. I put the new Roller Spider Assembly in my TAPP this year. Only got 300 or so miles in it though due to the lack of winter we had in WI.

Agree. I have been using these for the last several seasons now. Absolutely love them. I just ordered a couple at this amazing price for the future. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great post. I measured my '23 LTX LE, which is the same as Mike's. I also have a TAPP and measured the Yamaha way and have 61mm for offset with just the snap ring.
Very sad day indeed. Sure glad I was able to get a ‘23 with power steering and a 5 year warranty. Really sucks to lose an option in the market. It will be interesting to see if they keep producing the engines for Cat and any other manufacturers.
My TAPP arrives this week, but I might just wait until the offseason to put it on. I liked the black spring in my other TAPP primary, so I guess I'll give the blue spring a try. I'll get another backup spring as well, most likely a black one. I thought it was interesting that they suggested...
