Are these marks on the ramps of my TAPP clutch anything I should worry about

Really hard to tell from the pics Rich. Is it just belt dust compressed on the ramp?

Send pics to Tapp and see what they say?

Do you do alot of high speed runs at a sustained speed? Almost looks like the rollers are wearing through the hardness of the ramp due to being held at one constant speed IMO.

Not really. Some higher speed trail running, but not sustained speeds at 90 plus

Definitely pitted a bit. Looks like some wear on the ramp similar to what a worn clutch weight looks like.
How does changing the ramp to the “B” side affect it?

B side raises engagement and is more aggressive shifting.

How do your rollers look?

Rollers look good. I put bushings in them this fall.
I switched to a plus 1 roller vs. the plus 2 it came with

Just got back from a 4 day ride.
On day 3, after 600 miles, I heard a strange noise on startup. I thought it was a suspension spring popping the ice out when I sat on it
During the ride I could tell something wasn't right, it was lazy on the bottom and getting a little belt slip also.
Luckily, I had brought 2 clutches and removed the TAPP at the hotel and rode the last day on the heelclicker clutch, which is another story.
I disassembled the TAPP this morning.

The rollers are ok. The spider buttons are worn out, the movable sheeve bushing is worn out, the ramps are starting to pancake, and the arms are a bit loose. Clutch is just plain worn out. I need to send it in for a rebuild, or maybe just buy the tools to do it myself. It's @$400 for all the tools and parts.

Stain, what spring was in there that broke, Black or Blue?

black

When I ordered my Tapp Roller Spider when they first came out, Tapp recommended the Blue spring as they were having some cases with the Black springs breaking. I actually like the lower/smoother engagement the Blue spring provides.

I need to order some Dalton QAY-70's to run the year out and will rebuild the TAPP myself when my parts come in.
