No with a stiffer spring it will rev higher, you will need to add more weight to bring the rpm of the motor down, the weight in the arms will overcome the spring pressure, stiffer spring will need more weight to overcome it

Heel is initial take off, mid is mid range, tip is top end from the way Dave explained them to me.... Stiffer spring will need more weight to overcome it

Depending on how mine hooks up I either hit the limiter once (maybe) or not at all now with the changes I made, before I was tapping the limiter at least 3-4 times then getting about a 600 rpm lug then tractor back up

You shouldn't need more then a tungsten and 4 washers in the heel, start adding to the tip with the 4 washers and tungsten in heel if you can't get the rpm down... From what I found I had to go to a shallower helix to make everything work correctly, could not get rid of the "lug" in rpm with the...

Looking on that chart it does say stock clutching though? Just seems there is a bunch of numbers being thrown around with no definate number on it and I'm wondering why there isn't one

So I take i then from the chart on ulmers site that theoreitical gearing of 117 mph must have the overdrive??

Hey guys quick question... Been trying to figure out gearing on my Ltx... I know the stock gearing is 24/50 which gives a ratio of 2.08 correct? So what I'm trying to figure out is the theoretical top speed with the stock drivers and I can't seem to get a good number, I've read 101, 113, 120...

X2 on the belt swap, I attempted to clutch mine with the 8jp belt, was always getting inconsistant rpm and excessive belt dust. Swapped to the 8dn and really stabilizes the rpm from what I've seen in my testing and much less belt dust.... Again that's just what I found so I would agree with...

Went out on Saturday down to Constance back, track was hardpack but enough to lube slides, 104 was the magic number, revved right out to 8950, checked shift out and was about 1/4" from top of primary... Swapped out springs from white to pink, same result top end, the pink spring pulled harder...
