Hey guys quick question... Been trying to figure out gearing on my Ltx... I know the stock gearing is 24/50 which gives a ratio of 2.08 correct? So what I'm trying to figure out is the theoretical top speed with the stock drivers and I can't seem to get a good number, I've read 101, 113, 120... Again not looking for clutch shifting out or anything, just looking for theoretical top speed threw that gear ratio alone.

Thanks in advance!

at 9000 rpm and 1-1 clutch ratio (no over drive) 105mph

So I take i then from the chart on ulmers site that theoreitical gearing of 117 mph must have the overdrive??

Looking on that chart it does say stock clutching though? Just seems there is a bunch of numbers being thrown around with no definate number on it and I'm wondering why there isn't one

Those numbers would be with machined clutches that allow for overdrive, 24/50 on an ltx is good for 105 mph, you can pull a bit of overdrive without any machining but you need quite a bit of power to do it.

Google snowmobile top speed calculator.
This will help you.
