So I need to pick a brain or 2.
I came across a Camo challenger for my nitro. Original AC 1602-995. couple questions...
Any reason why I can't run it backwards? The lugs are a bit bent.
Stock drivers work ok?
This will be my first track swap on the Nytro. I found a good link in here for...
Hopefully someone might be able to steer me in the right direction. I purchased an 09 Cat master cylinder for my 08 Nytro to eliminate the stock parking brake. The AC master works great. The problem I have now is my brake light doesn't work. Not even the running light. I haven't made hard...
I installed a set of RMK boards on my Nytro.
So after getting it back together, my rear suspension feels stiffer. I put new drop brackets in of my own fabrication. Traced bolt holes and shape from the stock brackets. I didn't change anything in the skid. Any input on what to check, measure...
Had some time to finish the boards and drop brackets. I'm not the best fabricator, but it turned out nice. Wondering if anybody can tell me if the drop brackets need to be completely vertical? I added 3/8" spacers between the bracket and shaft to take up the old bracket thickness. My new bracket...
I don't have the weight for any other boards. The RMK boards weight 3.5lb ea. It will probably be a wash between what I am taking off/adding. Aside from the lack of snow/ice accumulation!!
The stock drop brackets are heavy. I will be replacing with 6061-T6.
Well I'm into changing the stock boards on my Nytro to the Burandt Polaris boards. Since the taper is different, I wil probably add a bent piece of aluminum to make up the difference. Do you guys think a regular aluminum (11ga.) or angle would be better?
Not sure if this is the correct forum... but
Upon normal take off, I have a ratchet-like drive from my 08 Nytro MTX. Not the normal smooth clutch engage/ start off. At first I thought the stock drivers were slipping until I got moving. However, it doesn't ratchet when I pour the cobbs to it...
I was a bit afraid of that. Anybody know if re-mapping the fuel injection could help? I got pretty good at changing jets and metering rods. Now, I'm kinda lost. Tonight I'm adding an elbow to kick the exhaust out through the right side of the tunnel. The under tunnel drone killed my head. Thanks...
Ya know, I completely forgot to mention the exhaust. I changed it to under-tunnel using a $30 muffler from O'Reilly's. Didn't think the 4stroke would be that sensitive to back pressure / flow from the exhaust.
This is definitely more of a hesitation. Is there an OBDII port or something I'm missing to check codes?
I did notice more response above 5500rpm. I only run 91 octane.
The hesitation is around 4500-5000, but only a split second. It was doing it again last Saturday. A friend explained the pitch change as a load/non-load sound. Would there be a warning light indicating a code? I will have to try sea foam. Not sure how long the sled sat before I got my hands on...
