    MP dry weight?

What is the dry weight of Venture MP (RPZ50MP)? There is 305 kg in the VIN-plate, but I think that is a curb weight including all operating consumables (motor oil, coolant, brake fluid and a full tank of fuel).

    New track for MP

yes, it was a real surprise how easily it keeps going after a total stop in deep snow. Earlier I needed a shovel many times if I stopped it in the powder. It is true that on the trail 2" lug is not optimal. But for me that's not an issue because I drive mostly off trail.

    New track for MP

the first weekend behind with the new Challenger 16x144x2" and 8-tooth no-slip drivers. The improvement in the powder snow was more than huge. There was 70-80cm snow on the flat and more than one meter in the uphills. So I got quite nice touch for deep snow riding. Now I could easily stop in...

    Reverse issues

If you have to do that even at low engine revs, something is wrong in the mechanics. This is just the way how to break the whole gearbox in the end - Says Yamaha Finland. Hmm..I have used exactly the same tricks for three years now, but only for cold engine and high revs, no need for the tricks...

    MP 2011 drive shaft diameter?

I measured the diameter and it is still 27mm in 2011. I don't understand why the part number has been changed. Neither local Yamaha dealer knew answer for that. Maybe there is some other changes than the shaft diameter, material etc..?

    Reverse issues

This same reverse problem still remains in 2011 MP. I've struggled with this issue from the very beginning when I bought it three years ago. When you start the cold engine, there's no change to get the reverse on. The problem occurs very seldom when the engine is warm. I've also understood...

    Mountain strap for MP

that is just what I'm talking about. I have seen those on some MPs (but I don't know the brand). Last week I tried two different at local sled store but they did not fit well. They were too long. Bomba, I think you mean PowerMadd, this one? What about the length 15", is it good...

    MP 2011 drive shaft diameter?

I asked from two WB retailers here in Finland. At first, both said that the axle is 27mm as it is in that 2007 manual. But when I mentioned that the part number is not the same in 2007 & 2011, they were not so sure anymore. Maybe I wait until the weekend when I have possibility to measure it

    MP 2011 drive shaft diameter?

I should make an order from wahl bros no-slip drivers for my 2011 MP. The sled is 250km away. So, I can not measure the drive shaft for choosing the right size driver. I found from 2007 service manual the hexagonal diameter 1.06" (27mm). Is the diameter still the same on 2011? I looked from...

    New track for MP

yep, this has been in my mind too. Another point why I'm going to smaller drivers is that I want to make more space for preventing tunnel icing. Or maybe there would not be any difference with icing if I keep 9-tooth drivers still? (change to extrovert model anyway) So, which choice is...

    New track for MP

I am going to retrack my MP to Challenger 16x144x2. I have been thinking also to change standard 9-tooth drivers to Wahl Bros 8-tooth extroverts. I have understood from this thread that there would be enough space for 2" lugs without any changes in drivers, but I would like to have a bit better...
