Here is a link to my question in the suspension sub-forum.

I figured that maybe a post here would generate a bit more traffic.
Thanks!
Finally dug the Venture out of the corner of the garage after a 2 year hiatus (wife had health issues that prevented her from riding), and went for an inaugural ride last Sunday afternoon with my 14 year older daughter.
Sled ran great with one exception. The rear suspension was bottoming out...
Nothing at the moment.
They are calling for a winter storm warning tonight.
Don't forget that deer rifle season opens on the 15th, and snowmobile travel is restricted during that time.
Buddah....how are the trails looking? When I went thru Munising on my way home after Christmas, it didn't look like the groomers had been out yet.
I may swing over that way on Saturday for my first ride of the season...provided it warms up above zero!
Yooper.....I am also in Marquette (just south in Harvey). I am able to ride directly from home to the trail connector at the Crossroads.
I've fired up the sleds, but have not done any riding yet....still waiting for conditions to improve just a bit.
Definitely will have to hook up for a ride...
I use the Sno-Stuff track clip tool: http://www.tracksusa.com/SNO-STUFF-TRACK-CLIP-INSTALLATION-TOOL-detail.htm?productId=18118330

Sorry....no idea what you are talking about.
I don't have any pic's of hot women in my photobucket account. Just kids, dogs, snowmobile, motorbikes, and fish!
I know that on my wife's venture, I ended up having to put a bit shorter windshield on it. The bend at the top of the stock windshield was right in her line of sight (she is a bit of a munchkin, though).
Just make sure if you go with one of the really tall ones, they don't interfere with...
Thinking about maybe heading over tomorrow morning to ride for the day....as long as we don't get any of the freezing rain they are calling for tonight....GRRRR!
This is totally normal. All of the 4strokes do this. The sled is just conserving energy while it warms up.
This past week it was -13 F in the morning, and it took almost five minutes for my guages/headlight to come on.
If you read the manual, you will see this explained.
I drove through Munising on Sunday afternoon....there was about 4-6 inches of snow there.
It was warm and drizzling at the time.
I did see some tracks down the trails...they were churning up dirt in the corners.
Mileage is better than my old GMC 2500HD crewcab with the 6.0 litre gas motor....
Yes, the Tundra is a bit thirsty, but what do you expect with 381 horses on tap...you gotta feed 'em!
My mileage is right around 12 mpg when towing my trailer. I have a 3" lift and 295 Nitto tires, so that...
