I have a 2017 Sidewinder. After a couple seal leaks, I went with what was suggested by a member a few years ago. The ROV does come apart, so it was suggested to drill a hole through the valve face that's inside. I think I drilled 2 3/32 holes. The reason is if valve seal is iced shut, at least a...
I accidentally caught my hand on my cable up by the throttle housing. After that I started having codes and cutting out. Lucky I was near a dealer that was nice enough to walk out and take a look. He applied some pressure to the cable that enters the housing. There was a click and it snap in...
Thank you, You understand what I'm saying. This is not a fix for a bad worn shaft, but used for a mildly worn shaft that can be shimmed by feel with bearing in hand prior to reassembly. Bottom line, get it through the season without further wear.
Yeah, that's my thought on this product. We're talking about thousandths of on inch to create a snug fit. This stuff does not move like duct tape. When layered on top of each other, it creates a durable shim, especially when clamped down between the race and shaft with the BOP wedgie.
With minimal wear on my driveshaft, I believe I've secured my bearing with the BOP wedgie. I have been thinking of something I should have tried so I'll share it. In the construction trades, there is a 3M adhesive backed metal tape that is used on duct work and pipe insulation. I thought if cut...
Check your throttle cable where it enters the throttle assembly. When righting your sled, you might have pulled it out of it's holder. Apply pressure and see if you can snap it back in place. That should solve cable bind. ( Yeah I know, he should have started a new thread, but just trying to...
Yes it is a speed sensor. Mine fell off also and speedo showed 200 mph plus constantly. Would not let reverse work. Clean and use good RTU silicone to reattach. If you rode it for awhile detached, you may gain up to 500 mi. on odometer that you didn't have before.
FYI, I purchased SS bolts slightly longer and had to cut them to length. What I found is the 2 bottom flange holes don't go all the way through. I checked by inserting small screwdriver in holes. It would suck to bottom out and snap bolts. My 2 bottom bolts are now slightly shorter.
Agree also. My concern with the post mount is the ignition switch wires being exposed instead of concealed under shroud. If some little bastard tries to steal my sled, I at least want him to work for it.
Nice looking sled! I have to admit, when I first saw the color combos offered on the 2020's, I thought that was not a good color combo. When I started seeing it in clothing and other uses, I thought to myself, why not a sled. The color combo has grown on me and now it looks great. Enjoy!
When you say they looked like pretzels, sure leads me to think that you're bottoming out the pullers. Check depth of threaded hole with length of puller.
I also had issues with ice buildup. It was -10° and leaving last stop of the day. A piece of ice let loose a quarter mile down the trail. Thinking it would kick out,I continued for 300'. Had to stop because I could here rubbing on tunnel and slowing down the sled. Reverse cleared it, but next...
Your sd 42 code is more than likely the speed sensor siliconed on your chain case has fallen off. Happened to mine because of previous oil leaks. Defaults to 261 on speedo, so also unable to use reverse. Clean and reattach sensor and at least one issue is resolved. Friend had it happen and rode...
