The only serious chaincase problem i have had is whit BDX SSI aftermarket cheap parts (broken drive shaft)
I did over 37 oookm whit this chain case (sw ,viperT ). Chain tension is NOT the issue. This groove will appear no matter what you did. I have always monitored chain tension whit secondary clutch … :-)
Automatic tensioner, personally I wouldn't do R&D even for free. Seen many catastrophic...
Hi M stain. This was my recipe whit stock tune back in 2018 (SW oem clutch).
- I have removed 2 gr from this back hump (70,6gr total weight) i tried to move rivets at first …..
-primary roller 15mm
-yellow-white-yellow+2 shims
-xs825
-offset @58,5mm
secondary spring pocket cut down 0.070...
Agree about stock bushing ! I have the stronger bushings for a while.... Even whit better bushing ,i can see where it ride and wear the most. I dont think i have found the caramilk secret :-) but surely a good upgrade for this questionable inginered chaincase !
I think so now! BUT.... What bothers me and put lots of interogations is the way the chaine ride, it’s the opposite side that should wornout first and its not the case

Even bran new there is to much play in the tension wheel in my opinion, after xxxx miles tension...
+/- 10 oookm on this "custom" drive shaft , 1,774 bearing assy +flash chrome +green locktight Even if the tunnel is flexing(wiggle)a little bit whit this bearing LOCKED.... i am happy to report NO stress cracked on my tunnel .

It’s the first time i see upper gear bushing almost worn equally.o_O I am now 99% sure this chain is working crooked because of the tension wheel . I am surprised that there is no speed shop that have adress this problem. It’s definitely NOT an isolate case ....
Stock SW is 16,5 and that’s pretty soft. Lower than that and you will bottom out easily. Personally i ride the 18,5 from 2015 viper and it’s a HUGE difference on ride quality.... Have you consider bending the one you have a little?
I don't have the long bushing that eliminates the circlip behind. I have a custom spacer to eliminate this circlip. it can be done whit a stack of oem washer also... free modifications:-)
