Thanks Cannondale. It was not whirring so it must be turning in the right direction, however I can spin the motor easy enough by turning the primary clutch by hand. I'll take the plugs out (was hoping not to have to disassemble the plastics again) and reinstall the starter.
Is the best place...
All electrical connections are good; relay, new battery, ground, etc. Assuming the positive and negative are attached correctly, can anyone confirm which way the starter spins? Is it possible that during reindexing the starter now operates in reverse?
Hey All,
I've reached out on other topics and appreciate the huge amount of knowledge and experience that's shared on this site. With that, I'm having starter issues with my 2007 Phazer. I had the front end off and removed the starter that was not functioning due to the bolts loosening up and...
I don't have a pic of the starter after I put it back together, however, here's a pic of the starter on the sled. It's obvious that one of the bolts backed out. It will be very apparent where the green line is on the casing once you pull the starter out. You'll have to wiggle it back and forth...
Anyone know where these bolts might belong? I had to take a 2 day break from the starter removal project and these were laying with the starter. I don't want to get this thing back together and have these laying on the bench! Damn it!
Hi TY4 contributors. During my ride this past weekend the starter on my Phazer had a progressively more difficult time starting the motor. At each pit stop it labored a bit more and turned over slower until, finally, it would no longer turn the engine. At first I thought it was a battery...
I'm hoping to revive this thread as my 2007 Phazer Mountain Lite is at the dealer now with a "seeping" outer reduction gear bearing. At first I thought it was a defective oil filter seal that was blowing oil on the primary clutch however, I was able to determine that the oil leak is coming from...
Yep! Bolts for the seat. Thanks for the tips! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out where they went all the while hoping they were NOT some important fastener deep down in the guts of the front end.
I posted this in the Tech forumns but don't think that forumn is read too often so, my apologies for double posting. I just finished an oil/filter change as well as upgrading all steering shims to the Schmidt Bros. parts - WOW what a difference!
I have these 2 bolts and I have no idea where...
I finally finished the Schmidt Bros steering shim project and oil/filter change and have these 2 bolts left on the work bench. They are likely from the trim and body panels mounts however, I can't find where they belong. Does anyone know where they go?
2007 Phazer MTX
Thanks in advance!!!
