    Clock stays at 12:00AM

I have set the time on my clock several times and it always resets to 12:00AM at some point and it also never changes to reflect minutes going by. I rode for 15 hours and it stayed at 12:00AM. And, no, the battery has not been disconnected at any point which I would expect to cause such a...

    Riding impressions of "power steering."

If anyone is on the fence over whether to buy the Barn of Parts power steering kit... BUY IT! After nearly 300 miles of twisty curvies in Northern Wisconsin, I can tell you I no longer miss my Apex's power steering. What a marvelous difference this kit makes!! Thanks for developing and...

    NEW 2018 LTX-LE from dealer!

Talked to dealer over the weekend and he told me $15,300 and NO prep fees. Just add tax and registration. Sounded pretty smoking good to me. Let me know if I can post the dealer without breaking any TY rules... Thanks!

    Todd @ J&T - THANKS!

I needed a Stealth 4th Wheel kit before my Ontario ride and called J&T after looking at his competition's products. Todd said he had no stock. Problem! Todd went on to describe how he had axles but no wheels. He put forth the extra effort to ship me an axle he had and drop ship from his...

Heavy ice buildup on tunnel OUTSIDE!

On my recent 1,619 mile trip, ice built up in crazy amounts on outside if tunnel. This made it slippery (dangerous) to stand on the boards at times. Ambient Temps between 15 above and 20 below Fahrenheit. Anyone else seeing this?

Just finished 6 day 1,619 mile Ontario ride...

6 days of riding on an LTX-LE. That's 270 miles a day for 6 days straight. The Soo to Searchmont to Halfway Haven to Wawa to Dubreville to Hornpayne to Hearst to Smoothrock to Abitibi Canyon Dam to Timmons and back the same way with a few side Trails off the A trail (Fushimi loop...). What a...

    Turbo bolt

Had sled dealer checked over at 250 miles for loose screws, bolts, belt, coolant level, oil levels, track tension and all was good. More correctly, after tightening turbo bolts, all was good. Did add a little coolant too. Rode 250 more miles to get to 500 mile service... back turbo bolt GONE...

    Stock hyfax durability question

Guys with miles, how are the factory hyfaxes holding up? I bought the Duponts but have not installed them yet.

    Tri-Hub question

I'm planning 2 trips to Ontario which will provide just over 3,000 miles of riding in 10 days of riding. Should I be concerned about about the tri-hub withstanding this level of miles? I was thinking a 4 wheel kit is what I should be doing just for "insurance", but I'm not studded or modded...

    Tried to achieve 1/2 throttle

I tried many many times to get to at least half throttle on any number of lightly plowed roads on my stock LTX-LE 137 (no studs). Each time I got close, the track would break free and the backend would get real loose. Exciting at times. Downright pant-filling at other times! On trails with...

Saw a blue Winder at Camp 1...

Camp 1 is located on the Turtle Flambeau flowage in Northern WI. I'm sure owner was tearing up the trail across the 20 miles of Lake crossing. It was the only other Winder I saw in 200 miles around Mercer. Looked nice.

    7.1 versus 7.5 rear wheels

Was just at my local Yamaha dealer... I checked out an LTX-LE. With the stock tri-hub (assuming these are 7.1 wheels), and with the sled on the ground, you can wiggle the hyfax at the rear end of the skid rails. The hyfax actually moves. This is clear evidence the wheels are holding the...

    SW Luggage

On an earlier thread, there was some brief discussion of attaching a bag to the tunnel. I do several week-long trips each season so the ability to carry clothes, munchies, some tools, chargers, etc. is an important consideration. Yamaha offered some excellent saddle bags that worked excellent...
