Talked to dealer over the weekend and he told me $15,300 and NO prep fees. Just add tax and registration.

Sounded pretty smoking good to me. Let me know if I can post the dealer without breaking any TY rules...

Thanks!

WOW That's a gorgeous machine. Love the 50th anniversary Edition!

I have the same sled coming except mine is the RTX 129! I got a grand off mine and a 5 year warranty thrown in at no extra charge when I ordered it back on March 24th. A lil bonus for me is that I won't be paying sales tax due to being an out of state resident of Maine..so there's my extra savings. Already ordered my 4th wheel stealth kit from J&T Products as well lol.

I say jump on that deal!! See if you can get them to make your warranty longer too?? If you spring ordered it you'd a got a 3 year warranty. As stated above, my dealer sweetened the deal and made the 3 year a 5 year warranty for me, as an incentive to snow check it from him. Doesn't hurt to ask!!

Get it if you're able. It's an LE and it's the 50th anniversary too...there won't be many of those around.

Epicsw, what are you going to do with your 17 Sidewinder?? Trade it in?? Keep it??

I was just trying to help out another TY-er with this info. I'm keeping mine because I have it set up like I like it and it has the 5 year warranty and thought another reader might be able to get a great deal on a great ride. The LE is truly the holy grail IMO.

Unusually good deal whereas it is not a spring check buy!!!

Keeping your 17? Or trading in??

Sorry but don't take it the wrong way but.... 15,300 plus tax is just hard to swallow for a sled. And I'am at a point in life where I could actually afford one. Just saying.... getting crazy.

I hear you Rich, everything is getting crazy price wise, very fast huh!
New trucks 40 - 60K.
Try building an attachment for your home, he'll even dirt is very expensive.
Groceries, wow that also has gone crazy.
How about health insurance, that has truly gone crazy and getting worse faster then all above mentioned. Our state is warning of health insurance increase by 25-30% for next upcoming year. That increase has been OKd already!!!!

So I bought the most powerful, fastest stock production snowmobile available, and it is also the best looking too.
I can't afford to do that with much else these days! Lol, did I change your mind?

Very well said Motorhead.

I guess it's all in what a persons priorities are.

When my time comes I want to be able to look back and say "Damn, what a ride that was!"

When considering how expensive it is just to be in this sport....Fuel in the truck , lodging, cost of eating out while on a snowmobile weekend ect. ect. I have always thought that the cost of the sleds has not been the biggest expense considering most will get several years of use for them and eventually money back on resale. At the end of the day i believe it just plain comes down to just having the best sled to fit your needs and if that means $5k more over a 5- 10 year span so be it.

My cousin said to me "you don't make no sense. You will spend 2000 on a car and drive it till the wheels fall off but you will spend 17k on a snowmobile and get a new one every few years" I said in response" I get no pleasure driving my car back and forth to work at all, But the few months a year I get to ride my sled are priceless"

Finally someone who gets it!
