I would suggest the latest replacement lower driveshaft bearing/collar as a better long term fix.one and done from BARN OF PARTS .Dont forget to spot Drill shaft and locktite 3 set .screws.Might want to consider the precision e.f.i. Chain case tensioner, while case is opened up,add the BOP OIL...

After 13 years of no fix on the pro cross chassis,it appears that item #18 bushing have been added for a better fit to the driveshaft bearing journal.

I installed the latest BOP lower driveshaft repair at the start of the season with no issues.My shaft was the original with 7400 miles ,and saved me a bunch of time and labor by putting this on my lower shaft.Travis has a great repair here.This will get me to my next sled after 1/2 more seasons

This kit was available for the touring sled that had the 146” rear skid.There was no drilling needed to install this kit.My 2018 Crosstour has this kit installed

The best repair will be the lower driveshaft repair from Barn of Parts at @$160.The whole point of this repair is to avoid the expense and labor ,as outlined in thread #291 on this subject .

Or just get a manual power steering kit from Barn of parts for $350.only downside is your turning circle is slightly increased.

Better than the O.E.M. It is a German manufactured bearing F.A.G. My 2018 Crosstour will be running this bearing repair kit starting this season also.
