When you say cogs im assuming you had new drivers pressed on your driveshaft?( yamaha calls them wheel sprockets) you may have a little play side to side to allow for track alignment,the drivers do not fit really tight in the track windows

Yes I agree but they do have special bearings for snowmobile & atv using the same generic number in there part number so be very careful going by that, the tapered id secondary shaft bearing is a good example where it calls 6205 in yamaha part number but is NOT a standard bearing so if ordering...

What did you use/do to clean the body area behind the secondary clutch? Looks like you polished it? Was this done by machine or hand?came out awesome it’s cleaner than when it was new!! Nice job

In the parts diagram I use they are showing the upper chaincase bearing is a fully open 6205 koyo bearing, maybe someone had this apart previously? What brand was the bearing you removed ?yamaha number shows to be#93306-20532-00 should be the same bearing used from 2003-2021 in our applications...

I would say its an aftermarket kit& they sent you a generic bearing, they are almost always either open on both sides or sealed on both sides,simply remove 1 seal with a small pick or flat blade screwdriver, this has been debated at length but im of the thought that when it was engineered they...

If you look at your shafts you should be able to see witnes marks where the seals & bearings ride& you could measure from here, it’s been a minute since I had any apart but if memory serves me correctly you drive seals in until just flush with housing bore, sometimes you can also see witness...

They do some strange things if the battery is bad,as your doing try charging first& if it wont take a charge replace battery & see if problem goes away,depending on battery age& if it went dead& froze will determine if it will recharge or not

When you turn the key on are you getting a display? What is your voltage at the battery jumper leads? These sleds have some known electrical issues but we need to know how it’s reacting

The 09 were bigger diameter & longer with involute drivers,10’ up were same diameter & length but had extrovert drivers, the one I put in my 2003 rx1 mod was from a 2013 & i had it shortened so I didn’t have to use a different outer chaincase cover but got the bigger shaft& extrovert drivers

Yes!! My nephew bought a knock off set on scamazon & literally his first ride of the season (& i hate the term literally) he lost the end out of the right side one, the end pulled right out of the cable, ive had the name brand & after thousands of miles I’ve never had one pull apart

I think the last time I removed & reinstalled mine i used a 3/8 drive pass thru ratchet with a shallow socket which with the pass thru ratchet makes it an extra shallow socket& is great for tight clearance areas,as for under the hood yes I don’t know of any other way to get to the bolts & nuts
