I phoned my dealer the day they announced their departure from sleds , they took my deposit on the first srx they get , but they had no idea of any details. Only thing that would make it stand out , would be their own gauge ( made by Yamaha ) with gps & a taller track .

The failure of the stock pads , is a result of having an extremely worn top gear bushing, nothing wrong with stock pads . Buy a top gear with a brass bushing kit ( many available for $ 130 or less ) and fix the chain tensioner and you are good . Plus 25 000 km no problems with stock pads .

So basically a 600lb sled with fuel , 60-70 lbs lighter than a sidewinder.

Another 170 hp 2 stroke, lots of hype for 850 everyone else has lol . The biggest news is the gps gauge for the kind of snowmobiling I do . Looks to be on par with the Polaris S7 gauge. If the sidewinder had that it would be set for another 5 years and still leading the way.

It’s been 8 years the sidewinder motor has been out , basically obsolete by Yamaha standards. Skidoo just getting to the plate & yet to produce a sled . Shows how far ahead Yamaha is making 4 strokes & could still could be in the 2 stroke market . Really heartbreaking if you have riden Yamaha...

Buddy I ride with , after riding my 23 srx he’s trading in his boost to the Polaris/ cat dealer for a 23 or 24 thunder cat . It’s been 4 years for him to see the light .lol . Every time we trade he’s been faster on my sidewinder, the power steering was the last straw for him .

the 23 srx in Ontario won’t last long , I bought one last week & 2 others in my group bought srx s today , to be delivered later this week. After I told them the power steering will make everything else obsolete they panicked . Lol
