Hey guys know someone on here will have the correct answer. I've looked all over and had little luck at finding what the correct coolant capacity should be in my Nytro. I have a 2011 Nytro xtx with the added mtx cooler?
Not running a trial tank but purchased a used mtx exchanger that I'm going to install and also change out the antifreeze. Gonna add a daytona temp sensor so I can get a better idea of actual engine temp. If I still have issues I'll go ahead and replace temp sensor and thermostat.
Apparently the 11s didn't come with the mtx coolers, there is a punch out for it but there isn't one install. My last 09 fx had on but this one doesn't.
I havent tested the strength of the antifreeze or
Do you know if they still make the temp gauge you had installed? Would like to get a clean install digital temp gauge for that exact reason but can't seem to see if Ulmer still makes them. Sled has 7,000 miles so not sure where the thermostat...
Thanks for the advice. Would you do 60/40 on the antifreeze mix and would you add water wetter to it? Any suggested coolant that these motors like more than another?
Was thinking of doing a manual switch for the fan but it does kick on I forgot to mention that in the post. Do you have any experience replacing the temp sensor with a aftermarket sensor over oem?
I had some overheating issues last season were temp light would come on constantly even in great conditions. I run ice scratchers on the rails and added ski scratchers and no dice. Sled doesn't have tunnel cooler so hoping that's most of the issue. I want to cover all bases before the season...
