My '03 did the same thing-PTO side. Got new one from Dlr. It was lighter/thinner than original. It's been ok for one season so far. Maybe it's more flexible 'cause it's thinner. mb 8)

:? Was "summerizing" my RX, and heard a "putt" when blipping the throttle. It is coming from under the exhaust shield at the back of the cyl. head. Poss. Exhaust Bellows cracked maybe? If so, has anyone had this go bad? Does the Extended warranty cover it? Thanks.

LB I've been playing with my rear susp. also. I weigh 290lbs w/out gear and would bottom out on anything bigger than 1-footers at speed. The only different adj. that I have is more preload on the rear-shock spring. The sled is really good over all the bumps now, and the transfer is AWESOME...

:D :D THANKS GUYS !!! Took the transfer rod bolts loose, and the bolt holes in the tunnel lined up with the shaft holes ..no SWEAT!!! It was like they had "HAIR" around them!!! :lol: :lol:

I just finished installing 9833 Camo, and Extroverts on my '03 shorty. When I went on to reinstall the skid, the first 2 bolts in the left & right footwells went right in. So did the two at the rear top (big) idler wheels, but the 2 in the middle, on the "mini" idler shaft WILL NOT line up...

Thanks, SNOWMAD. I guess a 1/4" is a good # to eliminate any interference at the cross-shaft. This is a fair amount of material to remove. Won't this defeat the effectivness of the drivers somewhat? And should the edges of the teeth be rounded off, after the material is removed? :?: :?:

Sounds great guys. This track should make a BIG difference over stock POS. track. I'm hearing that when installing the Extros. that I must machine off the tips of the drive teeth so that they will clear the front susp. arm. If so, how much should be removed, and what's the best way? A lathe...

I'm installing a 9833 Camo on my 03 shorty. This track is fully-clipped. Would it be better to put on Extroverts with the "nubb-drivers", and eliminate the stockers?, Or run the Extros with just the teeth on them, along with the stock drivers? mb

I, too am very happy to see this forum up and running again. The wealth of information, experiance, and entertainment was without equal on any other forum. I hope the info can be retrieved. At least most of the season passed before it crashed!!
