Its coming, trails are opening in quebec and the snow that is here is staying on the ground. Don't forget that cold is better first, then snow. All that snow just insulates and takes forever for lakes to freeze.
Its an 07 so I thought the handwarmers were taken care of at factory. There was no problem with the warmers. Here is how I have it running now. I'll give it a try tomorrow on the stand.
Maybe this will explain better. If I pull the cable just slightly out the motor races and then stalls. So when it is wrapped over the pad it does the same thing. I can't understand why its happening.
Were you able to stretch the throttle cable. I have the original pad and riser on and when I turn left the engine rpm increases and warning lights start flashing. Anyone had this problem before.
It is brand new, just out the box so to speak. I can see that it is pulled tightly on top of the pad and when I turn left the motor increases in speed then wants to stop (some sort of saftey feature I think). Bars are in good location and the throttle fits perfect. Doesn't seem to be any slack...
I can figure it out. You guys come up with the correct way to install the skid, yet yamaha can't get it right. Whats their problem anyway, ah forget it I know, not one of them actually ever drove a sled before.
When I turn left the motor advances in rpm and then I get a warning across the dash. Looks like the cable has no slack to it. How should the cable be routed, should it go over the centre of the pad on the console or under? Anyone had this problem before would appreciate some help.
Thanks
You are going to be so happy with this sled. I had one last year after owning 15 polaris's including an xcr 800. If anything the apex reminds me of the xcr. Rock solid. Only the motor is so much sweeter on the Apex.
Bring on the snow.
Pretty hard to get a straight answer sometimes eh. Have a good look at it and if you need to start replacing parts then its probably not such a good price. Check the track, skis etc But with only 560 miles, sounds like a good price.
Good luck.
Couldn't help but chime in here boys. I agree full heartedly with crossing the border. Just purchased a 07 attak (new of course) for 8500 canadian. Plus 206 at border and applicable taxes, all of which you pay here anyway. Add them peanuts up and with the same sled here for 12k at least, well...
I would go with woody's 1.375 down the middle, at least 2 per row, thats 108 total I believe. If you are real aggressive maybe try a different pattern. Like 2 then three or three on each row. On the woodys' package you will find templates showing how to stud correctly.
Ya I believe its more than adequate for the trail conditions I am talking about. I was just wondering how it did in like 8" - 10" of fresh snow? Sounds like I'm going have fun with that thing. Thanks for the comments..
