Ah, ok. I kinda have to agree with you on that one. Checking the oil, ect on our Phazers' has always been a bit of a pain due to this. I've thought about welding some sort of extension knob to the original bolts to make them removable without an Allen wrench.
I never really minded the little...
For the battery tender, use a pre wired adapter plug. I have one wired on all my sleds and motorbikes for easy hookup to a tender. Here an example:

The TPS uses tamper proof torx screws. Torx bits are available on Amazon if needed.
It might be possible to take a spray can of electrical contact cleaner, spray some in a small container, then soak the TPS for awhile. Spin it back and forth a bunch after soaking and maybe it'll clear up. I've...
That hose is for the fuel pressure regulator. On this engine it just goes to atmosphere reference so it isn't really needed. I suppose it helps keep snow/moisture from easily entering the regulator and causing rust.
The factory service manual online covers the process of testing this.
I used an ECU from a 2010 Phazer (last two digits in part number were 20 instead of 00 like the '07), worked perfect.
Can you get the coils to fire manually when in diagnostic mode? If not the ECU could be bad. I had an '07 I bought to fix/resell that did that. Everything checked out perfect in diagnostics except it wouldn't fire the coils. The coils would actually get hot if I left the key on because the ECU...
There is a red "solid state" upgrade relay for the fuel pump. The starter solenoid is only available as a mechanical relay due to the high current passing through it. I bought an OEM one for under $20 and super easy to swap.
One of mine was doing that this season. Ended up needing a new solenoid. The contacts in them get burned up over time from all the amps passing through them. Can you hear the solenoid "click" when you turn the key to start? If you don't here the click then it could be an ignition switch issue. I...
The starter motor from a Cat F1100, (Suzuki big twin) can be made to fit with some mods. Someone on here probably can chime in on what all is involved as I haven't done it yet. I've owned three of these sleds total now, all 2010-2013 models. They all start great regardless of temps in northern...
I'm hoping for more 4-strokes in there future as I can't ever go back to a 2-stroke. Some like to argue that modern 2-strokes are "cleaner" running than any 4-stroke. I just laugh... my nose, burning eyes and churning stomach tells me otherwise!
The newer Yamahas with the Cat Procross chassis are equally as good when setup properly as long as they have the good shock package. Base model shocks from any of the manufacturers usually leave a lot to be desired.
You could try using a combustion leak detector on the cooling system.

When turning the bars on an EPS sled the electric assist motor has to spin up (under power) in one direction or the other providing assist. A sudden hit at a ski also tries to spin up the motor but the mass of the motors rotating component helps to slow down this transition. It acts kinda like a...
2,004 miles total. The county in Wisconsin where our cabin is didn't close on March 31'st like the surrounding counties did. This allowed us to get more riding in over the weekend (legally). The trails were great but not for long with the warmup coming.
About 1,800 miles so far and more snow on the way (NW Wisconsin). Would've normally done way more miles but we had a cabin addition/remodel project that consumed a lot of time and $$$.
