2" is definitely too much. I ride trails between lakes and some fun trail riding too. My 1.6 on my Cat is great in the snow and ok on the trails, id just like a wee bit of traction when the lakes are slippery at first ice and in the spring.

Id like a 1.5" iceripper or icestorm for icy lakes and hard pack.
