2020 Renegade Enduro
I'm doing a spring order of a new 2022 Sidewinder. I have read, compared, built, rebuilt, read and reread the info from Yammi, but I want REAL information from REAL people.
I absolutely loved the ride and handling of my 2014 XF9000 with the Fox Float 2.0s I had an 07 RTX and an 08 LTX GT 40th Anni edition. Liked them both, but a bit of a workout on the trails.
These days I ride more lakes, probably 80% and only 20% trails, so I'm not sure power steering is a must. That said, f they offered on the LTX LE I'd already have paid my deposit.
I ice fish, cruise and trail ride a bit.
I've narrowed it down to the LTX LE or GT , and the XTX LE.
Thanks in advance for you opinions/advice

I have the 17 RTX LE. For me getting the that premium QS3r shock package was the deal maker. Plus the other minor add ons goggle bag ...whatever.

I would get the xtx le. More traction for pulling fish house through slush. And more capable to access backcountry lakes. Still plenty fast. Great shocks, and factory scratchers for when lakes get hard. Just my opinion.

This is really actually simple. If you like lifting skiis, get the xtx, if you like everything planted, ltx is your machine

I am trying to make a similar decision but only between the LE and GT. I am leaning more towards the LE for the better shock package. I also prefer the graphics on the LE (my wife thinks the gold on the GT is butt ugly).

My wife said the same thing. I wish Yammi would give us a couple color options. Guess I could drop another grand on a wrap lol.
I didn't really need power steering on my 07 or 08, and I have had big heavy sleds my whole life. I drive the trails, I dont race em so I should be ok. Still, it would be nice.

My only concern with the LE is the silver on the running boards. I know that will show belt dust and what not and require cleaning after a few rides. Yamaha can never seem to get it right when it comes to colour selection. I have said it before, all it takes is a base colour and choice of decal package. They used to offer a red and blue versions which I thought was a much better way of doing it. Decisions decisions!

Agree. If you watch the videos of the Winders with the 146 uncoupled every time they squeeze it, the front end lifts. Depends on what people like. This is really actually simple. If you like lifting skiis, get the xtx, if you like everything planted, ltx is your machine
IMO sometimes its fun to have the skis always lifting when on the gas. However, if I just want to ride hard and be able to stay on the gas through corners, the 137 is superior.

Well that didn't make it easier lol.
I know what you're saying. I think the XTX is the way I'm leaning. I don't rip on the trails and I'm on the lake waaaaay more.
No I have to find a way to get a different track on the XTX without the 7 hours labor........

Why change the track? The xtx is a 1.6?

I wanted the LE but in November of 2020, the SE was all I could find brand new. I would love to try out the trail front end, but I am quite satisfied with the mountain spindles. The 2" track is probably the better fit for your type of riding. On a side note, I tightened up the limiter straps 1 hole and it turned 4ft wheelies into 2ft wheelies. So you do have that optionWell that didn't make it easier lol.

2" is definitely too much. I ride trails between lakes and some fun trail riding too. My 1.6 on my Cat is great in the snow and ok on the trails, id just like a wee bit of traction when the lakes are slippery at first ice and in the spring.I wanted the LE but in November of 2020, the SE was all I could find brand new.
