    Catalyst 998t rumours

Yes when prime rate was at its lowest but rates have went up since that point and what is the typical floor plan rate at this time? Even if he has no interest on those units, he still has inventory that is a year old and has decreased in value… sleds still depreciate fast in a buyers market as...

    Catalyst 998t rumours

So your saying it only cost $40.00 per month to carry a sidewinder under a floor plan so thats $480.00 per year … So lets just use $14,000 as a cost of sled to dealer thats about 2.86% which seems a little low but if that is their cost then no big deal to carry over a couple of sleds.. In the...

    Catalyst 998t rumours

Here’s a good question …. What do you guys think the average depreciation for a new sidewinder that a dealer carries over to the next year ( lack of sale ) I figured it was about the same as what a dealer would pay on his floor plan interest cost or about $1,600.00 dollars…Sleds that are a year...

    Catalyst 998t rumours

Yes your right a on dealers adding to advertise price.. Always get out the door including warranty or anything extra added… I also had them give me a big discount on extra parts like studs, carbides, mirrors, extra belt and so on.. I also negotiated a lower 5 year warranty charge so be assertive...

    Catalyst 998t rumours

Either Dealers sell at discounted prices or face the cost of holding units over summer.. Either way it cost them money…. And if they are on a floor plan as many are, it really cost them to hold on to non-current models… Funny how it flips to a buyers market so fast…

    Catalyst 998t rumours

Yup there are good deals on new sleds if you can find a dealer willing to part with a sled at lower than current market prices and in my case a price lower than he had in it or so they stated.. Iam guilty of stating that most sleds are overpriced and we are not making a smart investment when...

    Nutsert mod

I would love to do this mod to both my winders but it seems Iam always riding in some wet slop, open water and its more important to keep everything sealed and dry than it is to remove panels under sled… I seal everything so no moisture can enter including bearings, belly pan access and all...

    Gear Oil Question

I have witnessed every oil under the sun run in chaincase and very few are really a problem. Probably automatic transmission fluid is substituted more than anything else cause it is next to nothing especially if your using used transmission oil… anything that can stay thin when cold, thicker...

    Catalyst 998t rumours

There was a very good reason Yamaha and Cat formed that partnership and I believe if Cat could have produced a good four stroke they would have years ago.. Lets just face the fact that producing the quality of a 998 turbo motor is easier said than done.. We all wish they would, but the question...

    Sidewinder Year to Year Performance

I got ya on different lenghts but what I noticed is these quiet bumps will make studs on a double different sizes. In order to correct the issue I think Turboflash has a good answer. I agree the smooth track is also a good answer if you don’t mind changing tracks.. And running longer and...

    Sidewinder Year to Year Performance

Looks like a great way to solve this issue.. Nice work ….. Without doing this your studs would be at different lenghts that stick up above lugs….

    Sidewinder Year to Year Performance

You got that track lean and mean .. looks like a bit of chatter on the rubber on those rear wheels. You normally ran no studs and now your running them, is your studs causing the marks on your wheels?

    Sidewinder Year to Year Performance

Dreamland… over the years we have all heard these types of claims … No different than the magical switch on some well known dyno’s that inflate the numbers… Speed is not cheap and when guys like you run the numbers you do , well you got our respect and admiration….

    Weight transfer with snow trackers

Front track shock spring down meaning your tightening the spring which produces lift. ( wheelies ) in extreme cases. Typically to get weight off front ski’s you tighten this spring.. When you run aggressive carbide, you may need to reduce ski pressure ( spring down tighten )
