I have a mid height windshield.
Yes, the WRP seat is sticky and firm I became used to the boss and I like it that way now.
I have found the wind is not too bad. This sled is actually warmer than what I've had for a long time.

I bought a 3.5 inch rox riser I found it was too high for my liking even with my WRP seat so I went back to a 2 inch rox.
I had purchased mountain cable for the 3.5 inch and still have it in the package if you change your mind for some reason on the higher seat.

This would be a perfect time to upgrade to a WRP seat if you have any interest in an ergonomic position that is much better for most people. I love mine.
They have black seats with blue stripe, red stripe, or no stripe.

This is my first year with a 2007 Attak. I have always played with my setups but with this sled, I did not want to mess with tuning. I found that stock setup, however, was terrible for running below 15mph and I could smell belt burning. The only thing I ended up purchasing was the barn of...
I have 2007 Attak GT and want to turn off the warmers. I do not like to have any heat because my hands sweat and then they get wet and cold.
Is there a way to go down below one bar as shown on the speedo? I can't believe there is no way to turn off the warmers for both hand and thumb but the...
I had the exact same sled last year. I've had Arctic Cat's since 2003 and their twins are strong. I am trying the Yamaha 4 stroke this year and have already spent more on this in repairs than the last 10 yrs of my Cats because I had to do my Y pipes...but I'm hoping I like the 4 stroke...
I would like to know if I am missing something here....
My 2007 Yamaha Attak GT has a spring installed as shown in the picture. It seems the pink stripe indicates this is a pink spring, right? Stock setup is supposed to include the white and the previous owner said nothing has ever been...
I ended up deciding on Rox riser and purchased the 3.5" along with mountain cable.
After putting the 3.5" on it was a little high for my taste - good for standing but too high for sitting where I spend majority of time.
Therefore, I returned it and installed the 2" Rox riser which seems to be...
I had a dealer change exhaust donuts (copper) and Y pipes on 2007 Yamaha Attak.
The smoke starts shortly after it is running and from what I can tell, the smoke is rising from exhaust donut area. It will run for about 30 secs before I start seeing it. I shut it down because it is very hard to...
Ha ha - kind of ironic that I like the stock one best but don't have it! I bought a 2007 Attak GT but it has an aftermarket windshield.
Thanks for the information. If anyone has this windshield to sell please let me know.
I have searched a lot and this post states the stock riser for Apex (in my case, 2007 Attak) is 4.5". I just purchased this sled and everything is bone stock so I assumed my riser was but it is 6".
If it's stock, I know I can fit 2 or 2-1/2" riser. If the 6" is not stock, I will order the...
I am working on sled and want to change the oil.
Dealer did not have his Yamaha oil kits yet so he sold me the washer, filter, and Arctic Ctec 4 stroke fully synthetic oil he had in stock. He said it will work fine in Yamaha and has sold it many times to people for this reason.
Logic tells me...
I am replacing the one pipe and will test the flex pipe. For the other side (left side) I will test it when I get it apart.
New copper donuts and clamps are also going on.
Thanks for advice.
2007 Attak with 3400 miles.
Went to replace the donut (preventative maintenance) and found what you see in the picture. I have copper donuts to install and am wondering if what you see requires a new Y pipe. I thought that the pipes cracked but in this case, the one clamp twisted and it looks...
