I recently threw a rod, and was told that the entire engine would be replaced under the warranty. I stopped up there yesterday, as they were almost done. took a peek under the hood, and I see they 'supposedly' re-installed my ECP kit on the 'new engine'. I recently had a clutch kit put on...
Only comes in low. I've got one, and to be honest I have never been cold because of it. But I also have a set of hand-guards to help keep the wind off of them.
I fouled a plug last weekend, and don't have any spares besides what came from Freddie. What plug do I need? and will most auto parts stores carry them (I'm in Grand Rapids, MI)
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
Put out a post a couple weeks ago about needing help with a clutchkit. Had 2 locals offer their help, Yamajunkie, and Yamatuck. Finally met up with Yamatuck at his place and he installed my kit. He has a beautiful new home, which he opened up to me for an afternoon. Just wanted to say...
Just received my CPR stage II clutch kit. I also have the ECP kit w/evac. I don't know $#@! about wrenching, and am a little leary about my dealer installing this. I guess what I'm asking is it easy enough to have my dealer install? I know there won't be any testing done if they do it. Is...
I was wondering if there were any good tuners in the West Michigan area? or not too far from that? I'm asking because I've become a performance junkie, thanks to this site :) and I know my 03 RX-1 is capable of much more. I've already put on a Ripsaw, and an ECP kit w/EVAC, but to be honest...
I would say w/out. I know I removed mine and attached right to the gold colored crank-case fitting. The only time I have had problems with freezing was during very cold temps.
Had my kit installed by my dealer. The mechanic said the sled would not run with the fuel screws opened 2 turns. He said he had to back them down to like 1.5 turns. How much will this affect the performance of the kit? and any ideas on why it wouldn't run with them opened that far, or...
Heard from my dealer that the seal was bad and that was the reason the chain case was empty, and sled quit. My question is: Does the sled have to be running for the leak to take place? It sat in my garage for 24 hours before I loaded up. Never saw any residue in garage, on trailer, snow...
Believe me, I won't. According to the warranty (which I have) it has that TRIP coverage, which is suppose to cover rentals (up to $150 a day), towing expenses, meals, etc. It was probably a good thing I didn't get into it too much when I dropped it off, as I was already seeing red. Will...
I did take it in. They said they would look at it. I have my receipt for my rental ($309), and for the tow I got from Sault Ste. Marie, back to Paradise ($100). I wish I knew how to work on my own sled, but figured the dealer would be more competent. I really don't mind paying for 'quality'...
Just had my RX-1 (03) serviced (2500 miles). I had a new Ripsaw put on, oil changed, and ECP kit installed. Couldn't wait to try it out with the ECP kit and new track. Get up to Paradise on Friday morning, and leave for Sault Ste. Marie. Sled ran great for 60 miles, then as I 'm going down...
Thanks. I do have one of Dynarex's systems. I couldn't see much on any old pictures of the hookup as they would not enlarge. Said the 'attachment was no longer available' or something like that. Can't wait to try it, as I 'm leaving for Paradise in the a.m.
Yes, I realize that was a dumb a$$ question :) When I was looking at how to attach to the crank case fitting, it just looked like too much of a bend, as the fitting is facing 'backwards'. This was the first engine mod I have ever done to a sled, and I was very nervous even doing it, as I don't...
Just got the filter kit installed by my dealer. Going to install EVAC tonight. A couple of questions: 1) Do the filters have to be removed to drill the holes into them? 2)By connecting to the crankcase fitting, I came to the conclusion that the crankcase filter is thus eliminated. Is that...
When inserting the the elbows into the filter, is anything needed to provide a good seal? and this one probably really sounds silly, but what hold's the kit in place, and from falling out?
