I have had a hard time starting the 2008 apex at 10-15 below or colder. My yamaha dealer advised adding their in-line coolant heater. How easy is it to install? any advice? also planning on adding a battery trickle charger?
thanks, i dont want to rip into things, or take it to the dealer unless i have to. i just figure these things arent designed to run hard & fast at 40-45 degrees
rode this weekend 250 miles when over 35 degrees. sled would backfire after coming out of a long straightaway. could this be related to hi temp, or exhaust leak/too much unburned gas? 2008 apex ltx, 2500 miles
still trying to figure out why top end only showed 108. no studs? 136 track? weight issue? 1500 miles? regular gas? the dealer just went thru it this fall. feedback?
i have a 2008 apex ltx my friend's 2001 xc 700 was even with me off the line, but steadily pulled away at 70plus. he was studded, i was not. top end on speedo i saw was 108mph. is that right? my 99 700 triple would hit 115.
looking for new sled, comparing rx1 vs rx1 warrior. i ride in mn on groomed trails. is the longer track on the warrior going to be a negative on thin snow or bumpy trails. am i better off waiting for an apex.
