Oh, and NO tippieness issues. It handled as good or better. if you think about it, the outside wheels and rails are the balance, the outside inch of track doesn't do squat.
I put a 128x14 hacksaw on mine with 1.340 Roetins which is nearly as long as a 1.450 woody's. No clearance issues! I did add .25" to the tunnel protectors because of the big studs, but I have had no hitting at all. Great set up. I would definately to it again. My sled is forsale and I will...
Makes my decision easier for this year. I will keep my 06. Fine by me. The fact that they want $12,500 for an Ohlin Attak is nuts. The Ohlin is the thing I hate most on my GT. I wouldn't pay a dime to have em again. Nytro looks good but they sure skipped any improvements for the Apex...
Depends. I think the hacksaw may hook a little harder, but I think the predator is better for speed runs. Something to do with the durameter of the track. I like my hacksaw but don't see big top end numbers. 125 on speedo which is just a tick better than it was with the bigger ripsaw
Dirk, I agree!!! That's twice in one month! LOl
These tracks are a snap to take out. As easy as any I have done. The reverse is the only thing that is any harder.
STUD EVERY OUTSIDE ROW!!! I have a 144 pattern in a 1" track with every row in the outside studded, and every other on the inside in double backers. I can outholeshot just about everyone we ride with. Ask SRXracer on this board about my holeshot. He has 192 studs in his 128 ripsaw and I can...
First off, Corey Davidson runs a polaris rear skid in his Apex! Sad but true. I talked to him at the I500 and heard it straight from him.
I also agree that the front dramatically effects the back. I have been disappointed all year with how soft my rear was. I added big boy spring, and had...
I have a 14x128 hacksaw and I love it! It did not gain MPH like I thought it would, but the over all performance of it is incredible. I am running big studs and am not fully clipped (yet) which I think is part of the reason for not having a huge increase in MPH. I think those studs are...
Not to muddy the waters but I have a ram air lid and frankly I do not see a performance advantage with it. It adds a lot of noise and in side by side comparison's does not prove to be ANY faster. I am talking back to back testing running against another Apex up to top speed. No advantage for...
I have the other 128 that SRXRacer was referring to. I love it. This is my second extension from Tracks USA and both have held up perfect. Roughly 1000 miles on my Viper with the 136 extensions and now about 1200 on my Apex 128". Put them on right and there will be no issues. Very simple...
1500 miles on my cr10ek's with no issues. I do agree though, I would be real suprised if they made any more HP. Kind of like the ram air lid that I made that show NO performance gain in side by side testing.
Are they hammer time/ speed weights with the pivoting heel? If so, I can probably tell you what they are based on my experience with them. I was told that if they are all black (wieght and shoulder), and the area on the weight where the screws are added are milled out, they are a 40-20. If...
There is a fuse in the fuse box that blows with those plugs. its a 3 amp fuse and there is a spare in there to replace it with. BUT, it's gonna blow again and again and again. Not sure why, but they don't seem to work so well.
I for one can tell you that the 128 conversion works well. Dirk might be right on the 136. I did it to a Viper and did not care for the geometry of it. I would guess he is right that a true 136 would be more centered than extending a 121 to a 136.
I have had great luck with Tracks USA. BTW, I put a 128" track on and Love it. You don't need to extend the tunnel with this, only the rails. $100 for the extensions and your done. PM if you would like more info. I have a couple bits of advice if your interested.
We just got back from 450 miles in the UP with 2 Apex's and a 600 SDI to compare. Our GT's both took roughly 1/2 gallon less per fill up which suprised me. I ride harder and weigh more than both of the other guys, the SDI was a renegage so it was turning a little more track. I am running a...
