    Happy for you Viper guys

I've been watching this sled closely and all the reviews I've read so far seem to indicate it is the real deal. Read a few really good reviews on it. Hopefully for all that bought one they get the same result. It's nice to read the positive stuff when for a while many have criticized this sled...

    What to do?

I would go with the yammie for the warranty also I heard from a dealer that the yammie a will have improvements that the cat will not because car chose not to do them. Not sure if this is all accurate but it wouldn't surprise me. A 3 year warranty is huge by itself

Thinking of a new Apex to replace my 06

I'm curious about the Viper only because i'm sure it has better bump capability and is lighter than the Apex.In riding one for 6 years now i've learned it's strong points and weak points, That's why I was wondering if the xtx bridges the gap a little as far as how capable the sled is in rough...

Thinking of a new Apex to replace my 06

I've been toying with the idea of getting a new one, thought about the Viper or a nitro but I love the sound and power of the Apex. I spent most of the afternoon searching about the 2011 and up Apex and I think i'm set on an xtx but since mine is a shorty 121 i'm concerned about the xtx in the...

Any opinions potential harm to Apex from towing another sled

I towed my buddies cat after he hit a tree 10 miles through hilly trails with him on it because he had to lean to keep the weight off the right side of the sled.Ripped the whole right suspension off his sled when he hit the tree. He was lucky and lucky he had a yammie in his group to tow his...

eating the front of my hyfax every 200-250 miles?!?

I run the same track as you and run it with about an inch of hang when the sled is lifted.never ratchets and my hyfaxes last easily a season.I've put 2k miles on one set.Now i run the dupont ones aswell. I thought about the marginal snow wheels but so far I don't need them.

    HYGEAR Twisted Springs

I ran the twisted spring set up with the remote res and it is an awesome set up. Transformed the sled into a much more capable machine. Hygear knows their stuff and has great customer service.

Driveshaft and chain in a 10k 2006 Apex.

I tried to do searchg but found mixed info. I know that driveshaft breakage has occured on these sleds but is there anything that can be checked to see if the shaft has signs? Also anyway to know if the chain should be replaced at this mileage? To me it is cheap insurance but the chain and shaft...

    Yamaha gripes/truths

Thanks for giving some positives, it is human nature to find the negatives in things. Ya there are some things in these sleds that yamaha could have done better but like already said when you compare these sleds to some other ones they really do shine. I've had my Apex since 06 and i've added...

    new radiator

No not running. Just fill the cooling system with the rar bleeder bolt out. Raise the rear of the sled up too. Fill it untill coolant comes out of the bleeder. Just did a front exchanger on my buddies sled and did it this way. worked great.

    WHO MAKES TUNNEL STIFFENERS/BRACES ??

I installed the yammie ones on my buddines sled and they fit well. Definitely use multigrip rivits, the yammie ones are not impressive.

    Thoughts on Pilots

I've had them for 3 years on my apex and love them. Just make sure you run an outside carbide, the newer version of pilots don't use and outside carbide but the ski is already set up for them, just gotta drill the holes. Like stated already i'd run it just to protect the outside of the ski. I've...

    mega float cover

I was thinking the same thing. Yamaha acc. has the covers for the front floats so I don't see why we wouldn't see some for a mega float.

Anyone know the part # of nitro factory white hand guards.

I've seen pics of them on sleds, so do they exist or were they painted. The fishe doesn't seem so show a breakdown. Thanks.
